Status: offline 		I own the most boring, truly dull, car in the world.
It was bought out of practical necessity and I would honestly not give it to my worst enemy, it is tedium on wheels and I have to play the stereo at full blast just to keep awake. It is valium, ennui, it is a mechanical coma, it is a Mazda 3.
I looked at it this morning and something snapped in my head.
I am getting rid of it and I want something that makes my blood run again.
Front runners are a black Mercedes or a gunmetal baby Jaguar.
Having looked at the image cars, like the Impala in Supernatural, or even Death's Cadillac sixty special in the same show, or John steeds bentley and Mrs Peels Lotus, or blade's nighmaremobile or Elvira's convertible, I know I need something that says Dom to me, something that reflects my own inner playful darkness.
What would you drive? What do you drive?
I am also buying a bike again after 20 years, an old lump of metal that makes more noise than hell.
How about you?

Status: offline 		I have never had a car fetish. So long as it gets me from point A to point B and serves my needs it is adequate. I drive a Ford Explorer. If I hit the lottery next week I'd probably buy a new Ford Explorer. If I splurged it would likely be on an old late 60s or early 70s Mopar muscle car. I miss those.

Status: offline 		The sexiest car for me, is a TVR Tuscan, particularly one painted in chameleon colours. The first time I saw one of them, it went past me on the motorway, it was deep green, and as it moved past, it turned to deep purple with hints of dark gold, lovely. The Tuscan shape is so sexy too, the best TVR as far as I am concerned.

At the moment, having a car would not make sense as I don't need one. I live in an urban area and work moments away from where I live. Parking in central Montreal is also quite impossible. If I need a car, I can always rent one.

That said, I do appreciate well engineered cars as I was raised by a car fanatic and most of the guys I've dated have been.

If I were to have/need a car, I'd go for something elegant and sporty something like Mercedes SL-Class Roadster or a BMW Z4 Roaster. Of course, My ultimate favourite has always been a Saab. I guess I'll have to see if Saab Spyker is going to release something of equal calibre in 2012.

I agree...i want it to run...

But...we had an Explorer and it was the only car i really liked. The like turned to love when hubby rolled it multiple times and walked away.

Status: offline 		I like my cars nicely inconspicuous. I do love the lines of the Chrysler Crossfire, (even though it would be totally impractical for me, and is built like crap) and if unlimited money should fall into my lap, any Aston Martin would be at the top of the list.

Mind, I am not known for my ownership and restoration of sexy cars, this was my first machine

and my second

( and yes, I jumped mine, all four wheel off the ground after getting too heavy on the throttle whilst climbing a 45 degree slope)

One of the V8 supercharged late model Jags (Ive had a few older units (1965 to 1988) and they were fun but painful)

But currently Range Rover does it for me and my toy is an Australian Chrysler Valiant based on the A Body Dodges (Dart) from the late 60's.

A late 60's Plymouth GTX with a nice Big block would do me fine and if the aussie dollar stays high-ish I might just buy one.

LadyJ pilots a Merc Wagon, boring but reliable with the added gunsights on the bonnet (Hood) for wombats, Roo's and bloody Koala's, None of which are cute or cuddly and a wombat will kamikaze charge a car and take out the steering, cooling and cause a big dent.

Rangies are immune to kamikaze Native wildlife except for Kangaroo's.

I feel a whole lot safer in my environmentally unfriendly tank than those sporty sexy cars that people drive. One point worth mentioning: it really doesn't matter how sexy someone's ride is. They have to get out eventually then they are on their own. Mid life crises are not sexy.
