Sure they are. Tell that to every major auto mag there is. Silly subboy.Oh, and don't forget the many wins at LeMans too. Just because you have envy, don't hate dude. It's apparent that if I were one of your GOP buddies, you'd be popping a chubby for a ride. It's ok, I get that with your type all the time. That fucking car causes more stares and thumbs up than sometimes I want to deal with on a daily basis. Having a good hair day today though, so I'll suffer. Have fun in the Ford. .

Aynne, I live in the middle of "NASCAR" land and there's plenty of Chevy trucks here that are all "red-necked up" too!
Nice Vette! Hey! How about posting a pic with you sitting in it?
The top comes off right? On the vette I mean.

P.S. Aynne, I was reading somewhere that the new vettes get 23-25 mpg on the highway, is that true?
It makes sense, a big engine that isn't really laboring that much at 70 mph.
I've always been a Ford man but the new Camaro is a great looking car!
The 2011 Mustang will re-introduce the 5.0 engine with...........419 horse power!

Theres something very tasteless about older men and women driving what they believe to be flash cars. It cries of desperation in my opinion. I wouldn't want people looking at me because of my car but then I'm not a snob!

Yep I love the new Camaro too, it's pretty hot. If I had my choice, I would have that or a new Z06. The new Vette's do get way better gas mileage than mine does, but  still probably get about 15-18.

Okay Popeye, for you, I'll take a picture later on today when I go out and about! When are you coming this way anyway so I can take you for a cold one? Don't you usually come to the coast in the summer? Oh, and the top comes off both. ;)

Note that this car had a decent passing gear at 100 MPH. Mine was yellow with a black top and interior. I beat ANY small block with it, and some bigblocks. Show up with a smallblock and I would say "Go away boy, you bother me", which means I wouldn't waste the gas to race them title for title and get their junk.

I had a 1969 Z-28 and a 1967 SS Chev Nova both of which would easily blow the doors off that toronado. Both were Chevy small blocks, the 'winningest' motor in all auto motor racing. Look at the huge weight difference and the corresponding power to weight ratio. At least for the quarter mile...it would have been no contest.

Status: offline 		We have an Italian super car! When we pulled into this marina to get some work done on our yacht, we decided to hire a car but an evening in our local yacht club proved fruitful. We got chatting to a couple that were about to set sail across the Atlantic and they gave us the keys to their car. Its a 20 year old Fiat that pretty much runs on air, has absolutely no rust and has only done 40,000 miles. When we leave here we will throw the keys in someone else's direction. She may not look sexy but then who needs a sexy car when you have a sexy yacht

Status: offline 		Longest time I've ever owned a car 1998 Z3 2.8 with a Hamann performance package. I don't think I'll ever get rid of it.

As much fun to drive with the top off as it was the day I got it! (That was a reference to my other favorite toy in the picture - beth! ) -

Hehe, well that was very tongue in cheek after reading a certain amount of snobbery on here

Our yacht may be sexy but she's a working girl and my cars have always been working cars. I can't afford luxury to impress.

Status: offline 		I just have a truck and the M3. I enjoy my M3, it's zippy yet relatively economical.......until it has to be serviced or tires purchased. Gotta love 'high performance' zings.

As for dead sexy cars, well I am very lucky. My son works with a very very wealthy man that is building a fleet of American Muscle cars that will be time-shared by a few very very wealthy individuals world wide. The only cars they have so far in this fleet I have no interest in driving are the Vettes. I've never liked them. Every time I see one it's being driven by a middle aged, over weight person that is desperately trying to be 'hot' and don't know they are not. Plus, I think they are butt ugly...

The one I totally cannot wait to drive is a 60something Cuda drop top that they just dropped a custom engine in they special ordered from Nelson Racing Engines. It will run on either pump gas or racing fuel and is going to be screaming fast. The hard top will have an even larger engine in it. They are both in Peru right now for the paint and interiour.... Every time I talk to my son I ask about the ETA.

When the fleet is complete it will contain every special muscle car made in the US. Why buy when I can drive one for free??

The thing about that is that many younger men can't afford cars like that or new vettes etc that can run $50-$70 k.
It is pretty rediculous though seeing a guy in his 50's or 60's riding around in a vette with the top down, toupe flapping up in the wind with a "VIAGRA" air freshener hanging off the rearview mirror.
Can you imagine the look on a woman's face on the first date seeing a "VIAGRA" air freshener hanging from the rearview mirror? PRICELESS!
"Hey honey, pass me that bottle of pills in the glove box will 'ya?"
"Hey honey, who do you like the best, Perry Como or Tony Bennet, I have Both!"
"Hey honey, give me a hand getting out will ya, my lumbago's kicking up!"
Where would you put an AARP sticker on the back of a vette? The bumper?

Yes, I'll be up to New Hampshire in August. My brother has a place on Damriscotta lake and I usually stop in there for a day or two of boating and swimming.
I plan on going up to Rockland this year to see our mutual friend so it would be nice to meet you for a drink.
Maybe I can lay my hands on some "VIAGRA" air fresheners!

This has the potential to be hillarious! I could put one on my rearview mirror, park at the supermarket and take pics of people's reactions when they see it!

I was out and about earlier, and stopped into an auto parts store and asked the guy if they had any "VIAGRA" car air fresheners and he and some customers started laughing!
