There's also the fact that labor is called that because it's damn hard work. You have to cope not only with waves of pain, but also a lot of hard muscular effort and the resulting exhaustion.

me thinks your sub has gone through childbirth and you feel that however hard you flog her she should be able to cope, after all she's had a baby, what could be more painfull than that?

The two just cannot be compared....sorry!

Childbirth isn't enjoyable, it also isn't a pain one can say 'stop' to! Being flogged or whipped is consensual. One cannot compare the pain.

I could never compare the pain of childbirth to that of flogging. A good flogging takes me to a place that I "want" to go much like a deep masssage. Childbirth hurts like nothing any man could imagine as far as I am concerned and is only worthwhile when that baby is placed in your arms, happy and healthy and you know it was all worth it.
