As to the song from "Hair," I got to see the original in Chicago when full-frontal nudity was quite the edge-of-anything. Hard to describe the politics of sex and how the heck that had squat to do with art, but I can tell you that the Police Chief agreed that in the last scene before intermission F.F.Nudity was acceptable provided NOBODY moved. So the lights go black, all strip and take their places, lined up across stage. Lights up - NO movement, I think they couldn't even sing, maybe they did. In any instance, stage lights go black after like 30 seconds and the curtain falls for intermission.
Now I have to go-and-google. BRB. LOL!

After reading, I see that many productions used a scrim. I'm pretty sure that the compromise was "If you don't move, you don't need a scrim."
