All I was saying is that there are a lot of fakes out there. like scams and stuff. I am not talking about pros. Just stuff like guys acting like girls and people that say well I am on vacation in Africa and stuff like that.

I'm not talking about people that are really here and trying to find some one. or the pros that are up front about what they are doing.

Well you are right, there are plenty of scammers available here. Just be sensible and take your time to find your right fit.

If they ask you for money, report them. If they ask you to go to another site, don't go. Then, move on. It happens on both sides by the way, maybe not as often though.

Over the years, I've met 3-4 fem/subs at munches who "worked" as Dommes at assorted establishments. They seemed to be good at what they do blah blah but I just couldn't get past the ethics of exploiting your own lifestyle that's hard enough for society in general to take serious.

Sure, make a buck; supply and demand; necessity is the mother of invention etc etc.... I can at least understand if it's about making a living but are you talking about fake dommes in general? 'Cause then I don't get the motivation....

This is life in general. Take your time and get to know the person and situation before you get involved. Your young and have no expierence so your a good target. Don't give anyone nude pictures, cam or send personal information until your very sure it's all legit and what you want.

Well....the market here is overwhelmingly male. There are lots of male subs without a partner because it seems as though Dommes are in shorter supply than other categories. The people out to make a buck are going to target the ripest market. Same with the guys that pretend to be women, they're looking for wank material...that's the easiest way to get it. To go to the people who are having the hardest time finding what they want- they'll be less picky about what they get so online is perhaps better than nothing at all.

Of course there are - just as there are fake male doms, fake subs, fake switches. But where in the world aren't there fakes? Not everyone does well at sincerity camp.

With only a modicum of discernment you should be able to sort out the phonies.

How do you know that they are fake? You see the way I see it, in order to be able to spot a fake you need to be an expert at something, or at least have a very good basic knowledge.

And to me if you're spending time wondering whether someone you come across on a website is fake without ever having actually met them, it makes me wonder about your ability to relate to other people in general.

How about keeping it simple, as in people you can relate to and people you can't? Stick with the people you can relate to, and the others won't matter anyway.

i see where you're coming from here, but i disagree. He explained what he meant, and i agree with him. As someone else said, male subs seem to outnumber female Dommes, so we may be the group that is targeted most often. But i do get a large number of unsolicited messages from "Dommes" in Ghana and Nigeria. Or else, they claim to be from the United States, but they are on vacation in Africa, or doing missionary work in Africa.

As a female, you probably aren't contacted by these people. But i get contacted by them routinely, and it is rather irritating.

This is the internet. There are people pretending to be all sort of things all over the net. Not just female dominants. I can assure you there are more than a few guys out there pretending to be dominant. Just as there are male and female pretend submissives. Heck. I even talked to a fake contractor once. FAKE exists. Particularly if there is someone out there gullible to believe it.

I gthink in my entire time on cm I have had maybe one message from a fake anything, ie a total scam most are just lier's, embellisher's, scared you get used to it, if you spot them ignore them
