Nope, sure havent... not since school.. not since college. I did an indian study course, sparked by Hatcher at the time. Guess that counts for nothing in your world.

It's been settled law for well over 100 years that it would indeed take an Amendment. It's quite simple. The Constitution says that anybody born under the jurisdiction of the United States is a US citizen.

The only way to "clear up the language" is by defining that illegal immigrants aren't under the jurisdiction of the United States. But that means, you can't arrest illegal immigrants for crimes, either. You can't even deport them.
