Alot of chatter on war.  So- who will it be?  (if anyone)

(I posted it here as it is more politics, then random stupid, in light of new tensions with N Korea, and ongoing tensions elsewhere)

LMAO!    This  poll tho- is meant to be serious.   But you make a stunning point-  that a central bank IS what makes wars.

Yeah...considering some of these multi nationals have a higher turnover than many of the African nations....then why not?

My money's on England and France.....I'm busy preparing for it....though I'd spare KittinSol.....at a price.....indoctrination......

What'll happen is that one of these mad countries....I include the US in that......will think they can defeat another nation at a minimum cost.....and it will turn into a protracted war......

Yeah I've seen that film 'The International' too.

A serious poll about war is a serious waste of time. There is no point to war at all, so how can you be serious about it?

Who cares who it is with? Humans will die and some silly number of people will see that as a price worth paying for a bit of breathing space until the next war. If opposing parties engaged in discussion about how pointless a war is we might put it off for a bit longer.

Our policy was 2 fronts- of which I think we meet that (Iraq, aphgan, 700 bases) - but go figure how the management thinks.  I do think the resign of the intel US- is telling.  Something I am sure happened behind the scenes.

Can I ask who these "a lot" are that are chattering about war? and a "major" war at that it seems?

May one assume them to be the same spivs and speculators that have never been anywhere near a frontline and acquire their notions of war from "Boys Own" tales of intrepid heroes fighting evil?

How about a war within your own country, you know the way things are going, the disstisfaction you are feeling and the education you are receiving, clearly to an outsider America is not happy. Maybe the dissatisfaction you as a nation have felt in the past was quelled by waging war elsewhere, you now, committing lives and taxes to wars in other lands, the warrior being sent overseas to die in other lands far away from those that might feel their threat at home.

War it is known to be a public safety valve, when tension rises within a country, often in the past a war was waged somewhere to release that public pressure and direct that pressure elsewhere, deflect it from the true source of angst. The usual method of stirring public oppinion to a supposed agressor overseas usually works, and if an aggressor is not present, then actions are raised in the name of sorting out some dictator or other, the feigned American way of extending freedom to disenfranchised and oppressed people elsewhere. Could it be the American way that you have been instilled with, is a recitude to be used to deflect feeling from where it should be aimed to elsewhere, an important and effective way to keep the mob from overthrowing the boss and taking your country into a new system where the established elite hierachy lose their power of autocracy.

If you don't believe this is a possibility, perhaps you need to look at your increased security, what exists now where it did not before, what freedoms did you once have now resigned to history, the so called increased likelihood of terrorist threat, perhaps the reality in thought that others would dare to attack American soil, as they have done in the past. Anyone from the nutcase survivalist armed to teeth and running amok shooting anyone that passes by to the various cults and sects that have had a different view on their freedom, not forgetting of course the children in schools and what they have done possibly influenced by lyrics from a song. Terrorism exists in America, and most of it so far is homegrown, yet you have been trained to direct that feeling to persons from overseas.

Terrorism in a sense has always existed in America, the only thing that has changed, is the nomenclature, and with that new education, you see yourselves living with a threat that permits more security being placed upon yourselves, your freedoms are being contained and controlled. Should the day happen when you realise what is happening and you say stuff overseas, we have problems at home that need attention, you will effectively be contained by the security you have allowed to be built. Remember the term terrorist can be applied to anyone for whatever purpose, and if a person of weight and standing directs that word, people tend to follow where that word is applied.

Your American constitution could be a dangerous thing, for those that believe and take the words as true and worth upholding have a choice to make if it came to conflict within your own lands with people of your own country, for that constutution whoever claims it to be theirs will use it to control the mind of the warrior.

Anerin,

I dont think we will have war in the US for a while.

One thing that WOULD do it- is confiscation of guns.

The checks still print here.

I suspect a designer flu bug will occur when we get to the flash point.  Sick people wont burn the cities down.

We are already in it, PaHunk. I know you dearly love seeking and keeping obscure knowledge, but Afghanistan is blowing up in our faces. As we are announcing the strategy of our summer offensive months in advance, the Taliban blew up a convoy in Kabul and launched ground attacks on our main bases at Bagram and Kandahar last week.

Or rising costs and unavailability of oil.

H'mmm, could that be why the US seeks to make war with oil rich nations I wonder.

That is at least those it cannot control or have a special relationship with.

Afghanistan was always a bad idea, period, on many levels.

Your anecdotal note is I suppose another example of your "all is spin" philosophy.
