The party comes from a very dishonest place. It is a response to Obama. Not his spending, but to the man himself.

where were these fuckers when we were spending billions on a war in Iraq? How much money do we need to spend on defense? Why not fund our pathetic education system?

The leaders are not interested in fiscal responsibility. They are right wing conservatives that are deeply afraid of anything that isn't caucasian. They go on and on about the current state of illegals in this country when nothing has changed in the last nine years.

They are dishonest people that are being followed by puppets that are incapable of understanding where the "movement" derived it's ideology.

Whatever. Hate the immigrants and brown people all you want. Collect your guns and pollute our oceans and rivers.

Be a proud teabagger, be the best little teabagger that you can be.. Praise the words of Rand Paul and Mark "Monkey God" Williams.

Where were you worthless fucks when we were spending billions on a worthless war? Why were you fucks over the last nine years as our defense spending has gone out of sight?

Not one fucking word about how we spend our money up until now. Both sides of the aisle understood the bailout was necessary. Any American that understands what is going on in the health care industry has to realize that an overhaul is not only mandatory but it is essential to us as a country staying competitive in a global environment.

You dicks hate immigration but you can't even begin to understand the ramifications of a global economy. Our economy will be forced to fall as those around us begin to catch up. Our jobs are either going to go overseas to the peoples of other countries or they are going to come to us.

There is no other alternative possible.

We cannot afford to become isolationists in our business philosophies while we intrude into other countries affairs militarily.

Enjoy your life as you cower in fear. Buy your guns. Hate your fellow man. Good luck to you.

Every time that very question gets asked, you get little else than "radio silence" ; sometimes, one of them will dare express the thought that the present administration was the drop that made the cup overflow. And that's all there is to them: angry reactionaries manipulated by some astute political sharks.

The deficits have never been this bad and Obama and Pelosi and Reid only seem determined to make them worse. There were the highly unpopular bailouts and the massive porkulus packages we weren't even allowed to read before they were voted on. There was overwhelming opposition to the health care scam but they ignored us. They're moving ahead on cap and tax against everybody's wishes. Mexican drug gangs are crossing the border at will and murdering innocent civilians and our government attacks its own state when it tries to do something about the situation, which is out of control - and Arizona also has overwhelming support from the majority. This administration lies about what the Arizona law does and pretends that we're too stupid to read all ten pages of it for our selves, which is typical of their attitude.

Lie to yourself and pretend whatever you want, who gives a fuck. This is about the wrong direction that this country is headed and your lies about the nature of the movement won't slow it down even a little bit because people can read for themselves whats going on, and you're clearly just a troll.

I don't disagree entirely, but I do believe the Tea Party movement hasn't quite gotten to that point.  It does appear that those opposed are mighty anxious to be the ones to have the leaders of their choice be the ones recognized... with the idea of discrediting the whole thing.

So you are going to ignore the role Dick Armey and Freedom Works played?

Especially interesting that many of the tea party rallies focused heavily on opposing health care reform, and Armey was working for a lobbying firm that represented those whose businesses would have been hit hardest by its passage.

He is often referred as the leader of the movement by people within the movement.

The Troubled Asset Relief Program, commonly referred to as TARP or RCP, is a program of the United States government to purchase assets and equity from financial institutions to strengthen its financial sector. It is the largest component of the government's measures in 2008 to address the subprime mortgage crisis.

Originally expected to cost the U.S. Government $356 billion, the most recent estimates of the cost, as of April 12, 2010, is down to $89 billion, which is 42% less than the taxpayers' cost of the Savings and loan crisis of the late 1980s.[1] The cost of that crisis amounted to 3.2% of GDP during the Reagan/Bush era, while the GDP percentage of the current crisis' cost is estimated at less than 1%.[2] While it was once feared the government would be holding companies like GM, AIG and Citigroup for several years, those companies are preparing to buy back the Treasury's stake and emerge from TARP within a year.[3] Of the $245 billion invested in U.S. banks, over $169 billion has been paid back, including $13.7 billion in dividends, interest and other income, along with $4 billion in warrant proceeds as of April 2010. AIG is considered "on track" to pay back $51 billion from divestitures of two units and another $32 billion in securities.[3] In March 2010, GM repaid more than $2 billion to the U.S. and Canadian governments and on April 21 GM announced the entire loan portion of the U.S. and Canadian governments' investments had been paid back in full, with interest, for a total of $8.1 billion. [4] This was however subject to contention because it was argued that the automaker simply shuffled federal bailout funds to pay back taxpayers. [5]

It's a populist movement.

....I'm also not disparaging them for wanting something different in our political realm.

Yeah, it's a populist movement alright.

A lot of populists being led around by the nose by those who have a hidden agenda.

It pays to throw a Tea Party: Business, politics merge for leaders

Whatever ultimate political effect that Tea Party conservatism has on the country, one thing is increasingly clear: Being a high-profile leader of the small-government movement is very big business.

The movement's popular appeal stems from grass-roots outrage over the bailout of America's financial system, the expanded role of government, and the growing deficits. But the Tea Party has also been aggressively promoted by conservative media, political leaders and advocacy groups — and its broad appeal has  blurred the distinctions among the three.

A year into this fledgling political movement's life, reports are emerging of the huge money being made by Tea Party leaders. Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck are in front of the pack, but a few new faces and a few old faces are also getting into the game.

I used to love Earl Grey and then one day many years ago I simply despised it. Hate the smell.

I love black tea, PG tips or Typhoo please. I like it creamy and with lots of honey. Really strong tea, light and sweet.
