I have read a bunch of profiles on here that have comments similar to this

"NOTICE: Any institutions or individual(s) using this site or any of its associated sites for studies or projects - You are PROHIBITED from any use of my profile text, pictures, media or data in any form or forum both current and future."



My first thought:

What a bunch of sheeple followers so many of you are. Now I know why our country is in such trouble.



My second thought:

My, so many people with lives amounting to nothing sure are presumptuous that anything they have to say would be of interest to anyone running a study.

New couples account, but I've been on here for a long time. Just never was a big timer in the forums, because I don't need that daily affirmation from all these kinkster Stuart Smalley's to make it through the day.

The majority of the profiles I've seen that disclaimer on are people who are not working, and are not looking to work and have no desire to otherwise contribute or matriculate in society. It is no lie to say their lives presently amount to nothing.

So, this is sort of like a chain letter, in a way. You read this little message from people in their personal profiles on a personals site, and you think they're full of crap for having that message on their profiles, so you spend your time and attention posting about it to a bunch of people whom you say you don't respect, anyway. Then they, in turn, don't give a rat's behind about you, but still they answer.

And then there's me - I don't give a crap about your opinion, yet here I am, responding to your post. Now, probably, someone will respond to mine, in protest...it's contagious! It's like a chain-waste-of-time! where will it end?!

My response, by the way: where the hell do you think sociologists go, anyway, to conduct their studies and compile their research, when they want to know about a subculture like ours? Mensa?
