The clogging up of roads by HGV's should not be the ussue, as they are hauling cargo to the various destinations in the country. What should be the issue, is the number of single occupant private vehicles on the roads, you know tanking great cars with the space they take up with only one person in them, the driver. Ever seen or been in congested traffic and looked through all the rear windows of cars in front and noticed it is relatively few people who are actually causing that congestion. My city often gets grid locked, due to the few roads that come in, and one major route, it is counted to be an average of nineteen people in their cars that stuff that road up. People in cars driving into the centre to seek parking. Those who have a vehicle to haul families fair enough, but the mind just boggles at those who are a single person, yet seek a monstrous great tank of a car, what is a car designed for many people, driven and occupied by one peson normally.
