I adjust the gallons and so forth. It looks like a loop and not live.

Just an update on the "top kill" attempt that BP is undertaking at the moment - I have friends in the oil industry in Louisiana, and one of them helped plan the operation that is now underway. He says that as of the last several minutes, it's showing encouraging signs. The color and appearance of the material that's ejecting from the leak has changed. He says that the mud they're trying to pump in appears to be working it's way down into the hole, and if it continues to do so, the attempt should succeed. Too soon to tell for sure whether it's going to work, but it's looking good 3 hours in.

I'm crossing my fingers; they tried that with Ixtoc I and all it did was start leaking below the wellhead. Took 281 days to bring that blowout under control, after 3 attempts at drilling a relief well.

Ya know, if he were ever accidently killed by a pack of wolverines while trolling about in those woods, CM would surely miss him. He's single handedly kept about 5 threads going in recent days. He is both consistent and tenacious in his misguided thinking.

That would require active moderation, though. And unfortunately Collarme has no real moderation policies. They have this theory that really annoying posters will be Darwined out of the herd as they burn through their credibility, but what they fail to comprehend is that the most obnoxious posters couldn't care less about peer approval. And so here we are, and here we will remain. One never-ending clown show after another.
