Status: offline 		Dont put in any extra effort for a first meet? dont get all "dolled" up. I meet people how i normally dress I dont go out of my way to dress special for them in case i do get stood up, then i can just grab my green tea frap enjoy it in the sunlight and go about my night

i caught that too.  Did he not have a car?  Was he renting a car just for your date?  So then he bought one for your date and then didn't pick you up?

Not doubting your story, just really confusing.

Unfortunately this stuff happens to all of us.  Smile and be happy it happened now and not farther into the future.

I'm sorry OP, it happens all the time though. The problem with the internet is the lack of accountability by some makes it sort of a mine field for dating. Hang in there! and I agree with LA, go out!

I slightly disagree with you. I always put effort in my appearance, not tons because I don't need to put tons, but always some. I always have a back up plan as well, to meet up with friends that might be somewhere.

One night a few years ago, I got dressed up to the nines not only because I had a first date but because I actually felt like it and we were meeting somewhere posh late on a Saturday night for a cocktail (I hate being under-dressed). The guy ended up being some pompous blowhard who came on way to strong (one of his lines was actually "I'm already imagining what you are like in bed") and so I stuck him with the bill for a $22 Martini and walked out. I went across the street to another bar because I looked too damn hot to go home and sat next to the man that I would have one of the most phenomenal relationships with.

My motto is to give life all I've got, because after all, I only have one.

Status: offline 		I always put effort into my appearence as well, As i said, I dont go out of my way, I dress normally in my usual clothing that is flattering to my figure and my normal make up... but i dont spend 2 hours getting ready for a date, it just seems wasteful,

I don't spend 2 hours getting ready for anything. I can style my hair and put on light make up, dab a little perfume, slip into a dress and heels in under 15 minutes. I learned this in my 20s with my friends and their last minute late night clubbing calls!

Status: offline 		LA and others who said I should go out since I'm all dressed up -- I already sent the babysitter home!  Silly me!  But then, there's not much to do in this town by myself anyway ....
*And* I have no cigarettes because I thought I was going out and was going to buy a pack while I was out ... then sent the babysitter home without thinking to run buy smokes first ...and now the kids are asleep for the night .... I haven't a clue how to get through an entire night without smoking.
Any local Doms want to pick me up a pack of Camel Silver and stop in and say hello?  Ha!  Just kidding.

Status: offline 		actually, you know what life happens - and one of the worst feelings is when 'life' hits youre fan and you know youre going to have to blow someone out and you know theyre going to think exactly what you thought right there and it doesnt matter how sincere you are, theyre still going to think that.

recently, well this week i was supposed to meet up and i went down with a disgusting cold, my car has broken down too as it happens and i had to cancel.  happily and thankfully He didnt see it as me trying to duck out.

hate to say it, but you might have just done youreself out of someone simply by being overly sensitive and suspicious.

I am guilty tho of ducking of.  I been stringing a guy along for 3 weeks now.

Tho it would help if he was more talkative. as in ANSWER my question.  rather then just pose his question.
