It makes my old mom happy, so how evil can it be? Also, I think it just may be Knight is worried that kyra will knit him a sweater, and he'll get stuck wearing it. A lot can go wrong, it seems... Beautiful, natural fibers - good. One pound "super saver" skeins of synthetic orlon from Hobby Lobby - evil.
