The Germans won it - the song was OK but the Armenian song was far and away the best. In fact the Romanian, Irish, Cypriot (from Cyprus) and Danish songs were all better than the German song and a bunch of others were as good.

There was the usual diplomatic voting, though less it seemed than in previous years.

Multiple selection is on - what was your view of tonight's proceedings?

The event was mentioned on NPR. It sounds cool.  I went to the website-which was pretty much a train wreck.   Not very user friendly.

my view isn't on there

Needless to say...I am happy we won

Though to be honest...I have no idea why...I didn't like the song and don't even consider that really as singing at times...so...quite frankly if we would have been last...I would have fully understoood it

I did not watch much as I only flick into it during breaks from other shows, however I did like Georgia

It is almost sort of 80ish.   Catchy tune.  I can see it hitting the charts.

"I even painted my toe nails for you" - I mean, what sort of line is that?

"99 Red Balloons" remains the only song to come out of post-war Germany of any merit; this result means nothing.

Are you nuts? Have you ever heard of bands like Rammstein or Scorpions?

The latter are vastly overrated. The former are good to excellent, but it is notable that their stage show is better than the music.

And I'm a metal head.

99 Luftballon was perfect. Even for a pop song.

She loves love - and wants it.     So 80s like.   Alot of the new stuff -- I cant hear the words or make sense of it.

I have to admit i was surprised to hear nena over here at times on the radio...and i liked scorpions 18 years ago...though i like the lyrics from reinhard mey, whose songs are wicked at times (no stage show there, just him and his guitar on stage...)...and a metal head i am not *lol*

Rammstein or Scorpions?

I've heard them. She's still right.

I want to say 'but what about Tokio Hotel?!' but even I can't keep a straight face for that long.
