It has been illegal to own a hand gun in Chicago for at least !0 years. In the 24 hour period between noon saturday and noon sunday, 22 people were shot here. Illinois in general and Chicago in particular have some of the strongest gun laws in the country. How is that workin' for people?

UK has far tougher gun laws and yet not a peep. Occasionally there is a gang mishap at some alfresco cookery event involving kitchen knives but nothing major.

Silly Jefff...guns don't kill people. People living in abject poverty stacked on top of each other 10 to a cage like animals, without hope for escape or a better future kill people.

what you ukers never bother to mention is that while gun deaths are lower then here VIOLENT CRIME IS WHAT NOW DAYS STILL 30% HIGHER than here?

What counts as violent crime, we all have our own definition and politicians/political lobby groups often change it to show how effective policing has or hasn't been under the current leadership. You'll most likely see you are comparing apples and oranges in real terms.
