Well...

Let's see if some intellectual honesty exists on the Left of the CollarMe now that Sister Nancy is being moved by the same God and Word that moved George W Bush.

There goes my lunch.

Jesus?   wow.

1. Now we all know where you get your "information" from;

2. Pelosi has never hidden the fact that she was a Catholic freak;

3. Unlike the Christian fanatics on the right-hand side of the aisle, she hasn't made it her business to impose her beliefs on to others.

She hasn't?

What about healthcare reform with the death panels?

And her attempts for a fake carbon tax?

You should re-think your reply.

FatDomDaddy -> RE: Pelosi: Pursues Public Policy "in keeping with the values" of Jesus Christ, "The Word made Flesh (6/1/2010 8:28:21 AM)

Ahhh... Sunkittin...

You are usually not so naive. That's exactly what she does, her beliefs are just more tolerable for you to swallow.

MrRodgers -> RE: Pelosi: Pursues Public Policy "in keeping with the values" of Jesus Christ, "The Word made Flesh" (6/1/2010 8:31:51 AM)

Does this mean she's back on Newt's Xmas card list ?

LadyEllen -> RE: Pelosi: Pursues Public Policy "in keeping with the values" of Jesus Christ, "The Word made Flesh (6/1/2010 8:32:15 AM)

The OP is quite right - this episode does demonstrate discrepancies between left and right. These are easily resolved however by applying the values of Jesus to each side to see which is espousing and promoting them and which is not.

Need we really produce exhibits here OP to show which side is abusing the name of God and blaspheming against the values of Jesus? Or would you prefer to call it quits?

Whichever God allegedly spoke to Bush Jr, it wasnt any God related to Jesus.

E

E.

You miss the point.

Pelosi DOES push her views on the "I deem this passed" country.

The method of attribution is mute- as she thinks she is king.

FatDomDaddy -> RE: Pelosi: Pursues Public Policy "in keeping with the values" of Jesus Christ, "The Word made Flesh (6/1/2010 8:41:55 AM)

Gotcha, now I see it... as long as your version of religion is the one holding sway, it's OK because "your side" isn't abusing or blaspheming. That puts separation of church and state in a whole new light Ellen. Thanks for clearing that up.

Not naive at all. I fully realise that you've created yet another trollthread in order to bash Pelosi for her pro-choice position.

You should know that she is not alone: many Catholics (in Europe especially) support a woman's right to choose, in blatant contravention with the Church's doctrine. It's baffling how mostly Irish and American Catholics keep on listening to Rome for the decisions they should make, but there we have it... I admire Pelosi for telling the Pope to fuck off with his antiquated opinions.

You should know that by now, almost everyone is immune to the wedge issues :-) . There are some serious things happening out there. Abortion's not one of them, and neither are Pelosi's personal beliefs: get over it.

pahunkboy -> RE: Pelosi: Pursues Public Policy "in keeping with the values" of Jesus Christ, "The Word made Flesh (6/1/2010 9:08:35 AM)

Pelosi is nothing but an agent for Goldman Sachs.

Stop fixating on abortion. It is not like you need one every month.

Tell that to FatDad, he's the one who's in the business of defending the unborn, apparently :-) .

He should not need one every month either.

George Stephanopolous already nailed her to the cross on abortion on national tv. I forget the exact conversation, but she basically said that abortion is a better method of population control than enforcing our immigration laws. I wonder why she believes that. Is it because dead babies don't vote, but illegal aliens who receive amnesty will?

I have an excellent ability to read facial expressions, and what I saw in George's face was disbelief.

FatDomDaddy -> RE: Pelosi: Pursues Public Policy "in keeping with the values" of Jesus Christ, "The Word made Flesh (6/1/2010 9:15:04 AM)

I be perfectly honest with kittin, the abortion stuff never entered my mind when I posted this. It's more about her tax and spend policies, immigration and defense policies.

That and to show, how many Democrat and Leftist apologists will give her a past on the church and state thing as long as her verison of God fits with their own politcal agendas.

Until she grows a cock and balls she is going to have to settle for being queen

FatDomDaddy -> RE: Pelosi: Pursues Public Policy "in keeping with the values" of Jesus Christ, "The Word made Flesh (6/1/2010 9:18:40 AM)

Let's not get off topic. Public Policy is far more reaching than just abortion.

This thread is not about abortion, even if there is an attempt to hyjack it that way.

Then you should have chosen a different platform than the link you posted, because that's pretty much all that it's about. Epic fail :-) .

cuckoldmepls -> RE: Pelosi: Pursues Public Policy "in keeping with the values" of Jesus Christ, "The Word made Flesh (6/1/2010 9:20:40 AM)

Sorry, but abortion is still a huge issue. In fact, it's the only issue that democrats have now that they they have a chance to sway women voters. Democrats have destroyed themselves on economic (promoting socialism and welfare), cultural (promoting multiculturalism), foreign policy (apologizing for America and catering to muslims), and immigration issues (promoting amnesty).

It took Bush 8 years to almost destroy the republican party, but superman Obama has almost destroyed the democratic party in less than 9 months.

Three Cheers for Obama

You require a monthly abortion?
