Hi, I'm Linea & I have suffered from severe depression since I was a baby. Not sure if I was a truly submissive baby or a genuine domly baby. So I didn't answer your poll. Besides I hate labels.

I'm a sado-masochistic, quasi-poly, bi, switch. I have been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder mixed with depression. I have no phukking idea how to answer the poll, so I didn't. I'm badass like that.

I know this is in P&RS, but damn, this had the potential to be really interesting. (Don't be surprised if I steal this concept and move it to the General board. You really are on to something and I happen to think it deserves it's place.) I do have to say that I didn't answer your poll because depression is too much of a catch all term. A person can feel depressed due to situation alone (for example a major move from one location to another due to missing friends, family, etc.) and actual disorders caused by mental/physical health. Also, even though you specified a descriptor of "severe", it really is difficult to distinguish where the line between severe and not severe really lies. Symptomatic depression can range anywhere between a period of "feeling blue" to debilitating and/or unable to function within society. How a person gauges everything in-between and exactly where the "severe" line is will vary.

Nearly all my polls have a scientific purpose. Unfortunately most do not get sufficient replies to be significant. Some, though, give an indication. My very successful fat poll unfortunately was pulled. Without notifying me in advance so that I could secure the data; that was inconsiderate of that Mod. (I will remember that until my death.)
