It sorta kinda looks like walking on water, but dude your claws should be on top of the water. God fooled you m'son. You look hot without your robes on though. Then again I do dig the human hands in your avatar, they look tender--I guess they come off when the robes do huh? See Im sayin? Faker, I am reporting you to the mods nananananana... I reamin rest assured, I kinda like it. I dont get rest assured enough these days yanno? Sup?

....DID YOU JUST POST AN IMAGE OF THE PROPHET VUHMAMMED?

Any scholar knows with his tiny arms he lacked the ability to paddle. That is sacrilege.

I declare a Fatwa on your head!

Yep. Domi.

I wish I could troll as well as Domi.

He is a wise, but misguided prophet.

laurell3 -> RE: Some things are sacred... (6/3/2010 10:52:15 PM)

I don't think so, he just posted he's worried about moderation.....if it's domi, he's doing a great job of disguising himself because I'm pretty sure he's NEVER typed those words.

TheRaptorJesus -> RE: Some things are sacred... (6/3/2010 10:57:08 PM)

The message must be spread. If the vehicle for the message is taken away, then how will you hear it?

Satanasaurus could corrupt the moderators into stifling the good word. And then... then you all would be doomed to a fate worse than a thousand deaths.

I am a prophet of love... and meat.

Raptors are just meatless chew toys!! I knaw on your kins bones every day. You and your kind already suffered over a thousand deaths when the Great Dog (God spelled forward correctly) dropped his holy rock on yah-all.

Self respect. If you don't have that, you don't have anything.
It's the start of intelligence when you begin to value yourself.
Your Mother gave birth to that one little bit of purity that is in you.
Be true to that and you have everything.

But many do not.

CarrieO -> RE: Some things are sacred... (6/4/2010 4:25:02 AM)

"I believe in nothing, everything is sacred. I believe in everything, nothing is sacred."  ~Tom Robbins~

I don't see "things" as sacred.  I don't see sacredness in inanimate objects.  Something might have a particular value to me...My dad's compass, my mom's class ring, a favorite book from childhood...but I could lose them and still have memories of their value and importance in my life.

I'm not a religious person but I am deeply spiritual.  I see life and nature as having a scared value for me, but does that mean I worship it?  Good question.

For me, sacred means highly valued and extremely important.  Using that as a definition, my space is sacred...as is my time and self-acknowledgement which leads to self-respect, as mentioned by another person.  Once I have that sacredness in place, I can see the sacredness in others and in everything we do.

Right now, the most sacred act of worship I can perform is the feeding of my cats....according to them [;)]
They can be very demanding goddesses.

What are they?

What's sacred to you?

Just off the top of my head...
The beauty that is around ... poetry, music, art. Death and honoring someone's life and sacrifice. Marriage. The birthing of children. Love, the depth of love that can pierce the pain and hatred that the world tosses about. Learning. Bearing witness to another's truth.

I was a bit snippy this morning when I posted. I was offended by something someone else had posted. It was something that i found sacred, something I like to believe that I would not have ridiculed. Ever. But on the other hand, that which is sacred is often that which needs to be appreciated, enjoyed, and laughed at.

I, too, am allowed my rough moments.

Thank you for sharing that which is sacred to you all.

Best,
sunshine

Yup, anything and everything is worth joking about...nothing is sacred...absolutely nothing

Man, where's George Carlin when we need him. He has all kinds of convincing arguments as to why everything is worth joking about.

No doubt in my mind he would've been right there laughing with you if he could.

I have tried to do away with sacred things...

I want to study other people's sacred stuff and not have sacred things of my own

Why have you tried to do away with sacred things?
