I am asking for clarity's sake that you personally are comfortable with the idea of them removing most of a teen-aged boy's penis to prevent unwanted male attentions towards the girls? Because this is a ritual and not a medical procedure, the circumstance under which this is performed isn't sterile. There is no anesthetic, the tools are crude and complications are common. (Keep in mind that the reason for this ritual is ignorance.) Edit: punctuation

I saw that documentary. I'm thinking it was National Geographic. It is heartbreaking to realize that many cultures mutilate thier "umn's in some way or another. From the scarifications of some African tribes, to our American custom of mass baby boy circumcisions. I know that's a controversal subject in of it's self. Most parents have it done because everyone does it and we don't want our sons to look different in the locker room. Most don't think twice if this is a necessary medical procedure. It is cultural. Personally, I wouldn't even pierce a little one's ears until they can consent.
