He's obviously a sociopath.
We need to have some testing program to ferret out sociopaths/psychopaths when they're young and then put them down.
They do far too much damage to too many human beings.
One day little Johnny is led out of sixth grade classroom and no-one ever see's him again. "Johnny won't be down for breakfast anymore."
They're "human" in the sense that they're flesh and blood but that's where it ends.
One lady I know summed it up nicely; "They're beings that don't have a soul."

I'm not so sure it's soul they lack as varying degrees of conscience, empathy, remorse, guilt, shame, honesty, authenticity, tact, sensitivity, concern and responsibility for others, deep emotion, impulse control, social inhibitions.

Were we able to ID socio/psychopaths when young and put them down, I fear many rulers, politicians, physicians, etc., and a significant part of the general population would cease to exist.

I understand where you're coming from but one Ted Bundy can do a hell of a lot of damage don't you think?
Even psychiatrists will tell you that there is "no treatment" for a sociopath.

Oh, no doubt, Pops, I agree. And, not only is there no treatment, many of them are so charismatic and skilled at lying and manipulation, they are able to fool even the best psychiatrists.

That's true, they probably need three psychiatrists to make that determination.
But, these are very dangerous beings and the public needs to take preventitive action against them.
(They) even think they're "normal". Right now the only pre-emtive action taken against these monsters is usually contact with law enforcement for breif periods.
And any one of them have the potential of becoming the next "Ted Bundy."
Like they say, "there are devils that walk the earth" or something close to that.

Let's hope it's a "hard" 28 years.
Hopefully someone will do some crotch surgery on him.

MrBukani -> RE: Joran van der Sloot gets 28 years (1/14/2012 3:05:18 AM)

Poor sentence,
in Peru you can apply for parole after a third of your sentence.
He is already in jail for over a year. So in about 8 years he could be out again.
In the mean time he is getting pretty much fanmail from sick bitches who want to be with him.
He is in a seperate jail by himself. Even for american standards thats luxury.
Is this justice?

xxblushesxx -> RE: Joran van der Sloot gets 28 years (1/14/2012 3:07:13 AM)

Thank you Mr. Bukani, I thought I had read that somewhere, but on the news they are saying he will be a middle-aged man in his 50's when he is let out.
Justice often falls far short in this world.

servantforuse -> RE: Joran van der Sloot gets 28 years (1/14/2012 5:13:28 AM)

I think Juran is 22. If he gets out in 15, maybe 20 years, do the math. He will still be very young.

That's the default up here if there's a risk associated with putting you in with the other inmates.

It is not the task of the prison inmates to "customize" the sentencing set by the courts.

If the courts want crotch surgery, they will have to sentence you to that.

Health,
al-Aswad.
