There's also the fact that the standards have been radically lowered over the last twenty years to get more students into university in the first place. It's strange how the way academic qualifications have been radically devalued never gets mentioned by any MPs, but I suppose most of them went Oxbridge rather than somewhere that used to be a Polytechnic before 1995, so it hasn't occurred to them. I wonder how much a University education can be devalued before the foreign students (upon whom most redbricks are financially dependent) realise they'd be a lot better off studying at home than picking up a degree from a UK university that might as well be printed on toilet paper?
The notion of getting more kids into university is an admirable one, but not if the only way you can think of to manage it is to drop educational standards from the start of the secondary school system...

In the meantime, if any youngsters are reading this, Thompson is correct - become a plumber and earn twice what the average lawyer would. If that is you can find anywhere to learn to be a plumber these days.

You will note that trade schools do not teach ethics, economics, sociology, history, languages, etc which tend to (but not always) make one a more rounded person capable of discerning truth from bullshit.
They will, as I have admonished allow the possessor of a journeymans "ticket", keep one's head under a roof and their larder well stocked.

Gagging can lead to puking on my shoes...not something I prefer.
But yodling with a cock in your mouth is a talent every girl should cultivate...the growling thing has some interesting posibilities.
