No, no - hang on - you could be right.  She could have been calling me 'Fudgemuffins'.  That doesn't somehow seem like her, though.  Well, whichever way she meant it, it was definitely a girlsblousy word to use.

Peon,

Fer fuck's sake!  Talk about needin' to hit a boy with a sledgehammer. [;)]  Do you wanna' suck my cock while watching the LP/LaT match or not?

Jeez, Elan, sounds a bit like multi-tasking to me.  But let me contemplate that. [;)]

Not really.  It's simply providing fan energy and appreciation.  I've no desire to usurp the main event. :-)

My first name. I hate most other things with a fiery fiery passion.

I'm with the cute, vague girl on this one ;-)

However, until I tell them my first name here, they can call me LadyAngelika, Angelika, LadyA or LA really...

I don't think that LNT was calling me 'Fudgemuffins' Elan.  I think that was her way of turning a naughty word into something acceptable.  She's a bit of a girl's blouse under those toned muscles, I think.

Watch your fucking language, dammit!

And alas, it looks like you have a new nickname on these forums.  [:D]

You know it's funny... I've been actually thinking about this a bit. I rarely call people "Lady" or "Miss" or whatever on here even though they may have that in their name. (Same with the men - NOBODY gets a"Master" or "Sir" out of me). The only exception I've noticed is Lady Pact. (I think I must lurve her). I just can't bring myself to call her "Pact" Maybe "ImPaction"? Hmmm... must think on this.

Meanwhile.... Queen Uber Goddess of the Known World Sexy Thang would be my personal favorite for the winner of the LaT / LP fantasy round.

I am prepared! Come on divi, we can at least sit and fantasize together!

[sm=popcorn.gif]

Which is ok, because I lurve you, too.

I actually feel honored when folks tell Me these things.  When I come across as the exception to the rule.  It really does make Me smile.

LadyPact lurves me!!!!!!!!!!!! [sm=mrpuffy.gif][sm=hearts.gif]

My name is Francine. That works fine. Ma'am is okay, because it's a courtesy. Otherwise, I am not one for titles, mainly because they indicate a relationship that IS NOT THERE. If I say, Please don't call me Mistress, and get an argument? It's a good sign of a fantasy wank.

I like using names, I don't really do pet names much, aside from the usual baby honey kind of thing. (I call all my male pals "baby"! horrible habit!)

Couldn't agree more. Mistress is a title that one woman gets from me. So I just call any Domme I would write on here just by their user name, and that's how they also usually sign their mails (if they sign diferently, I call them by the name they signed themselves). Dommes that are not your mistress are just normal people in my view. I treat them with respect, but I treat anyone I address (dom, sub or random person in the street) with the same respect though.

If you're chatting with someone online, that you just met, what would you prefer they call you?

<------------*points to Her screen name*   Call me that until I tell you my given name.

Also, do you like certain titles, such as Mistress, used ONLY by those you've either met in person or have actually collared?

Funny, I had a conversation about this last night.  Honorifics or pet names can/will happen once there's some kind of dynamic in place.

Edited to add.....When I first read the title of this thread, I thought of the poem by Thich Nhat Hanh "Call Me by My True Names  http://www.poetry-chaikhana.com/H/HanhThichNha/PleaseCallMe.htm

Andalusite -> RE: What should they call you? (6/9/2010 8:30:18 AM)

They should ask before assigning a title or name, how I (or other women, for that matter) wish to be addressed. My femsub playpartner calls me "Milady," but I wouldn't welcome that from someone I wasn't involved with and hadn't even met yet. I'm ok with Ma'am or Miss in that context, but I prefer "Anda." I also use that nickname at playparties, when I attend, since my first name is unusual. When I dated my former male submissive for 5 years, he usually used my first name or Milady. He occasionally used "Ma'am" or "Mistress," if it suited the scene, or we were joking around with "Thank you, Mistress, may I have another."[;)]

Glasgow -> RE: What should they call you? (6/9/2010 8:51:52 PM)

I would like to propose a new question:

As Ds, what do you usually end up calling subs or slaves? I assume that in many cases, there is a difference between public, private, and play situations.
