section 8: often the amount of rent- will not cover the market rate. increase in taxes- comes to mind. Jenny is on sect 8. they allow- x amount a month. This rate is min $50 less then the landlord could get other wise. In the local area- it is hard to crunch those numbers.

Yeah the rightists talk a good game but it`s lip service. Let`s simplify it. Who would you rather trust or invest your money with...? An accountant who looses you money or the accountant who protects and earns you money? It`s not a trick question.......rightists......[:D]

You might want to do a bit more reading about the goals of the Section 8 program, Steve. The idea is to more widely disperse the long-term poor among the middle class population. In theory, the kids will embrace the values of middle America they see from the new neighbors, and grow up to be productive citizens. In reality, crime, the gangs, and drugs, follow them into the neighborhoods. It's the sort of experiment liberals love, as long as nobody is moving in next door to them.

Not only is Social Security a failing ponzi scheme but its losing investor monies on account of inflation. Almost anything would be a better investment.

I paid in less than $5000 into the ss system and have been getting a check for about $500 a month for about a year. Seems like a pretty good return on that investment.
