I generalized this comment to bisexuals. All apologies. My argument is that sexual orientation is neither caused nor correlated with enlightenment.

The "enlightened" adjective is what I would apply to the attitude that genitals don't matter as much as the person.  It's not necessarily in a sexual context; a homosexual or heterosexual can reach this same conclusion while still not sleeping with the gender they aren't attracted to.  I suspect that for my partner, his pansexuality contributed to developing that philosophy.  Can't really speak for everyone else however; we all have our own journeys toward enlightenment, and we don't all end up in the same place.

quote:

Two girls at a party, after much urging by the people around them, might kiss for the attention. But this does not make them equally happy to please both men and women for the single moment that they are kissing; they are both straight before, during, and after the kiss.

That depends on the individuals, and how much fun they had kissing, and whether they keep fantasizing about doing it again. ;)

A woman (or a man) who is happy to perform sexually with someone of the same gender even though it doesn't turn them on greatly might still be termed situationally bisexual.  I would probably fit into this category, since I don't actually care whose body I have to do naughty things to in order to play with my preferred partner's mind.   I've had partners who felt similarly.  I generally identify as heteroflexible however.

VaguelyCurious -> RE: "FORCED" bi (6/10/2010 3:14:20 PM)

FR

I've not come across the term 'situational bisexuality' before, but I've come across 'situational homosexuality'.

I understood it to mean the orientation of an otherwise heterosexual person stuck in a single-sex environment (no contact whatsoever with the other sex) who chooses to form a homosexual relationship rather than be alone-it's a recognised phenomenon (I once found an ancient biology textbook that gave examples of oil-rigs and sailors). Once out of the single-sex environment a situationally homosexual person would revert to heterosexuality.

Alright, I kind of get that. Although I still like penises. They are the bomb.

I think that a lot of people who identify as straight aren't entirely so. I myself (as my now-hidden profile states) am bi-curious. In fact, no less than 3 of my close female friends and I have, at one time or another, said that if we were lesbian we would date each other. I don't know if I would have anything against having sex with a woman, except... vaginas are so squishy and yucky [:'(].

But boobs are nice... [8|]

riptorian -> RE: "FORCED" bi (6/10/2010 3:24:58 PM)

To the OP. Saying you are half gay, is the same as saying there are only black and white people and asians are half white? I think there are as many shades of sexuality as there are people, more or less. So you are also annoyed with the term switch in BDSM? Which is to me "bisexual"(Or am I wrong on this one?).

About the forced part. I think it is a matter of perception. If I did what I do to a submissive to a vanilla girl, I am sure she would call it rape and abuse. Some people believe they ice cream instead of blood in their veins. Is it real to them? It bloody well is, yes. If someone consented to something, but is getting tied up, blindfolded what not, it would be easy for them to feel forced to it. In the end, different things mean different things to different people. The terms are made to make a consensus between 2 people. Like doctors uses diagnosis to cover a certain set of symptoms, so one doctor can say "They have a broken leg" to another doctor and the other doctor will know what it is and how to treat those symptoms.

All you can do is accept other people's views on certain things, instead of getting annoyed and rage over it. Do I understand bisexuals as a hetro? Not really. Do I accept and respect them, yes I do.

And kudos on your life. If a thing this small can make you rage like that, it must be pretty darn good. (and no I am not being ironic)

subrob1967 -> RE: "FORCED" bi (6/10/2010 4:47:50 PM)

I am not gay, not interested in men, not attracted to men, you get the picture, but if either Karen or Holly requested me to suck off another sub, I'd do it for them, just to please them.

What would you call my situation? Would I automatically turn gay if I sucked a cock?

laurell3 -> RE: "FORCED" bi (6/10/2010 4:50:42 PM)

Of course not, but in the end who cares what other people think? You know you're straight, what other people that aren't you think isn't paticularly relevant.

Nope, that wouldn't make you gay but personally I think far to many people give far to much weight to what other people think.

That.  Right there.

I noticed the OP was very gender specific.  No complains for any Masters who might order a female slave to please another female for his viewing pleasure.  Why should I, as a Mistress, be any different if that is what I want My slave to do?

Half Gay???

That is really funny. I'm not sure what i think of it, i don't really have an opinion on it, so i'm not going to make something up for the sake of it. But it is funny. Half Gay...the top half or the bottom half??

Split equally down the middle I reckon

VaguelyCurious -> RE: "FORCED" bi (6/12/2010 4:01:45 AM)

Nah, I reckon it's split into front and back-kinda makes sense when you think about it...

Yes, you would suddenly have an overwhelming urge to color-coordinate all of your belongings, and sing show tunes. [:D]

Seriously, good question. I'd personally call it being bi-sexual, in that you would be willing to interact sexually with female or male.

zephyroftheNorth -> RE: "FORCED" bi (6/12/2010 4:08:25 AM)

oooo I think you're right, it does make sense.....although down the middle does too, to a point anyway. Certain boy-parts are kinda difficult to split down the middle.

This term just makes me insane!
There is NO SUCH THING as "forced bi."
You are gay or you are NOT gay.
"Oh Mistress. Make me suck a guy off...FOR YOU."

STRAIGHT MEN DON'T SUCK DICK!

ALL of the STRAIGHT men I know would never suck another man.

GAY men do.

Just accept you are GAY and move on with it.

Gay is OK.

Fast Reply.

If you owned a straight man and you ordered him to suck a cock....... do you not think he would do it? If ordered to?

Do you think he would consider himself Gay?

Sure he is still straight but what he did was an act that divides his sexuality in two directions between both men and women.

If his general sexuality is heavily weighted to the STRAIGHT side then yeah what you ordered him to do was FORCED Bi Sexuality because without your order it would never have happened.

GOD I am tired of this discussion.

I'm straight, noone is going to "force" me to do something like that unless they have a gun pointed at my head and they're crazed. THAT's a crime.
Noone can be "FORCED" to do something if they "want" to do it.
So, "straight male seeks forced bi" is really "Bi /Gay male seeks forced bi."

And own spice racks....dc would be disappointed if we didn't mention that.......

Oh come on people, think with your heads instead of being overractionary, one act does not determine your sexual orientation, YOU do.

Sacramento39 -> RE: "FORCED" bi (6/12/2010 1:17:39 PM)

I have felt an urge to let a domme force me to suck cock but would never do it either unless ordered.....it doesnt mean we are gay I dont think just want our dommes to hae total control...

Well honestly any knife that makes it that far would do just fine. [8D]  More importantly stop giving me tips, I'm not the one wanting to do it. Actually Missokyst is the one who sounds like she wants to do it. Scroll up and look at her post.
