i just readed the subject , so i am late a bit and will not really put a new input but the importance of listning to your inner feelings cannot be to emphasize , i have leaned it the hard way myslef
so if there is only one think you shoud remember from all the aswer you got is this ; lisent to you inner feelings  , and thoughts

Congratulations for you stand next to one other (female) equal to the off the top smart replies uncaring as to their effect they may have on the ones you target. Like your partner, I find you to be cold hearted, cruel, rude, uncaring and oft crass. I haven't commented because I don't really feel it's my place to give you advice (beyond saying 'people rarely ask for advice until they already know the answer', which is something I'm pretty sure you know). But I just wanted to wish you all the best. And tell you to give your partner a great big hug, because there can't be enough big hugs in the world and I know threads like this can take it out of people a bit.

Status: offline 		Yeah, there really does seem to be a common, recurring theme to the replies here. :)  Again, seems I just needed others to drum what I knew already into this rock on my shoulders.   And I.B., it's okay.  I'm thinking he actually meant well, alas, no, it really isn't so simple.  When, though, are matters of the heart ever 'simple'? 

As far as that goes though, I can certainly assure that 'really wanting' him is about the farthest thing from being the issue, but, frankly that was a valid opinion, one that even I mulled over for a good while already myself.  I do actually appreciate the thought though. :)

Status: offline 		My resume is quite a sad one - I give high schoolers relationship advice (now, I suppose, I give college students relationship advice). But I have reviewed a few dozen cases, which I think is enough to give me a tad bit of experience.

One thing I can say: don't do it if you have doubts.

I am 'under consideration' to someone (PLEASE, let us not argue about the validity of being under consideration. It's not the point). If I were still hung up about this lifestyle, my last boyfriend, or anything at all, I don't think I could go through with it. I'm not going to say that it wouldn't be fair to me, but it wouldn't be fair to him.

If this fellow is the most spectacular specimen that you describe him to be (and I have no doubts of that), then don't ruin your chances. Talk with him about you the problem and sort it out before he's invited in.

Status: offline 		Aww, thank you. :)  I swear y'all are trying to make me blush lately.  I don't blush, I should warn you of that now. 

Glasgow, yeah, we've talked about this a great deal already and he understands completely.  The funny thing is, he was the one to mention it to me first, about wanting to 'wear my collar' for simplest terms.  And that he knew, at that time (this was shortly after my Dear One left), I wasn't ready and that he thought "C. was stupid for ever wanting to even consider leaving, and if you ever wanted, I would love to be yours and wear your collar, when and if you want something like that."

Of course I did chastise him for referring to C as stupid, and I would still do the same thing today and probably 50 years in the future, but, he had his reasons.  But yeah, he's about as understanding and patient as it gets, thankfully.

So, now, it's just a waiting thing.  I think we both know that I'll be ready at some point in the future, be it next week or in 3 years.  I just hope it's not closer to the 3 years thing. ;)
