My Domme's friend modified one and they both used it on me. Basically Her friend took it apart and found that without the "racket" part on there's these two long ridged wires sticking out where the electrical shock originates from. I got subjected to over 30mins of pokes and prods with it while being tied down in a chair. It produces a pretty strong jolt from what I experienced but it also left little "burn" marks on my skin where ever it stuck me. My Domme used it on my legs, arms, chest and neck... the morning after the joint areas when she used it on me hurt so much, like someone mentioned above I found it difficult to lift things after it was all said and done.

I love this toy !
My mentor is from Oklahoma as well, and often brings the TA zapper to parties. I know for a fact that it's seen plenty of use, and still works fine after at least a year.
Best of all, it makes a startling electrical "pop" noise on contact.
I need to get my own.

As for the flyswatter, I've used that as well, even on my own legs and feet (just to sample it, not because I enjoy pain).  I can attest to the fact that it felt horrific on the soles of my feet yuckyuckyuck....sort of a dull, horrid bone pain. I asked a masochist to rate which one was better in her opinion, the TA zapper or the flyswatter.  She had no preference.  But the sharp little popping sound and flash of blue light make the TA zapper the winner in my opinion.

Fast Reply -

These particular instruments frequently and mysteriously go missing in many households. Somehow or other they really spark fear in many s-types.

YMMV

There are plenty of place on the net on this subject.

http://www.goddessangel.com/electricplay.htm

http://www.bdsmdebunkingthemyths.com/electroplay.htm

http://www.geniebusters.org/915/electrotorture.html

Those are just a few I googled. The understanding of this play is simple. Know what you getting into what your wanting to do with it and the end results your looking for. Simply put this is edge play. Research, start small, and be safe. The Best thing is to look for yourself and make your own opinion. Good post and nice responses.
