Status: offline 		Howard Stern had a spanking machine on his show several times. I thought it was a wonderful piece of machinary, albeit some tweaking needed to be done, but it got me to thinking how come there are not more inventions for the kink minded?  How come we don't have a great automatic flogging machine yet? Has anyone bought a programmable robot to give out orders to their slaves for when they are away? There are so many items which have been perverted for kink purposes, but what actual inventions can we credit to strictly the BDSM world? It seems to me that the mass involvement in online kink would create a huge market for such things as an auto-cropper or a nipple puller (batteries included would be nice!) Where are those wonderfully deviant minds? How much would something like a flogging machine cost the consumer? It just can't be that difficult. A few gears, a couple of pieces of leather, a power source. Why aren't these things on the market? What would you like to see invented... and what would you actually purchase if it were available?

I think a lot of kinksters are handicrafts, but for more personal use.  I think it's a kink in itself- mostly males who love to break out the tools and make their own equipment.  There's a reason lots of people call Home Depot, "Dom Depot."

In general I think it's just because it's not something we're taught or interested in- same reason we go to Ikea rather than crafting things together from Home Depot.  I know I'd prefer to be a consumer. 

When I bought rope from twistedmonk, I mentioned I wanted an all pink toybag and he told me that I wasn't the first to say that.  I told him that was great because it meant stuff would be easier to find.

If people want to get all crafty and stuff, go for it.  But it's not something I'm very interested or good at (anything requiring more than a screwdriver is a huge project for me).  Most of my scenes are done with just a few toys anyway.

Status: offline 		Serious part -->  The problem is, a lot of this stuff is pleasurable because of the process, not the goal.  I love wrapping the rope, I love tying knots.  Giving a spanking or a paddling is too fun to delegate it to some machine.
 
OTOH, giving some thought to the actual OP's question I have to say that my favorite fantasy machine is a milking machine for men.  I read about one once in a story and couldn't stop thinking about it for days.

Imagine, if you will, that you come home from work, your favorite TV show is on, dinner is already eaten and your submissive is bugging you during the last 10 mins of the new South Park episode. In fact, there are times when play is prohibitive because of his diabetis where I'm quite sure he'd appreciate getting all the benefits of paining me without actually having to do the work. To each their own though. If it's sad for you, simply don't do it, but please don't think you speak for 'submissives' when you speak only for yourself. You have no idea what gives me any glow or what I take pleasure in.

Thank you so much for responding! I didn't at all mean to suggest that I know what all submissives want, and I never thought of it the way you put it. I was basing my opinions on my (sparse) experience subbing and the expressions of subs I've worked with and talked to.
