I have to perv everyone's profiles to actually see the pics. I am remiss on getting new reading glasses (and old, but not as old as Jefffff)!

MisterP61 -> RE: Fake Domme & Tactics of a Con: A cautionary (6/25/2010 7:25:56 PM)

Probably not as old as I.... and oh yeah   Fake Dommes suck

laurell3 -> RE: Fake Domme & Tactics of a Con: A cautionary (6/25/2010 7:27:09 PM)

They may or may not swallow however. I learned that here!

Jeffff -> RE: Fake Domme & Tactics of a Con: A cautionary (6/25/2010 7:27:27 PM)

Did you know a person can make a quirt...CRACK!

Fake doms can't crack a quirt!

laurell3 -> RE: Fake Domme & Tactics of a Con: A cautionary (6/25/2010 7:30:23 PM)

*coughs*

I'm pretty sure you know my response to that without posting it here.

On topic, kids do not give your money to random people on the internet.

I'm very new to this site and just fell for an elaborate scam. I was stupid and ignored my instincts out of a strong sense of false hope. However, if this saves others from making a stupid mistake and thus denies this con artist his/her money, than I'll feel a small measure of comfort.

Please note that as per the policy of this site, I will not name this user. I suspect it wouldn't be much good anyway as I'm sure somone so cunning has multiple accounts. I hope this policy doesn't extend to general tactics. If Collarme.com cares about it's users, it will keep this post up.

You never mentioned how much you were "scammed" out of.
GROW UP!
PUT ON YOUR BIG BOY PANTS AND MOVE ON.
You are on an ADULT site.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Fake Domme & Tactics of a Con: A cautionary (6/25/2010 7:51:07 PM)

I think we moved on past that, Keli.

KneelingSub25 -> RE: Fake Domme & Tactics of a Con: A cautionary (6/25/2010 8:24:16 PM)

I don't know about you, but what about seeing more "normal-looking women" on collarme? (meaning, in other words, not women who look like they are about to "session" or "scene" with womeone).  Is it just me, or does it seem as though the vast majority of Dommes in the greater New York area look as though they are professionals?  I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that, and it's as good a place as any to advertise, but I wish there were a greater variety of people who weren't afraid to create profiles on sites like these.  Just a shame.

TheLadyIsADomme -> RE: Fake Domme & Tactics of a Con: A cautionary (7/3/2010 9:54:21 PM)

Call me naive or maybe just nosy, but how much money are we usually talking about here?
Is it a lot, like hundreds of dollars?

txurinal -> RE: Fake Domme & Tactics of a Con: A cautionary (7/10/2010 8:19:37 AM)

There is a major difference between a professional Domme who will expect tribute at an actual meeting and a con artist. we subs are especially vunerable as we tend to be obedient and are looking for that dominant person to control us

this slave is often approached by young "dominants" on this site, both male and female and one must realize their only interest will be financial at some point. One has to learn from mistakes. i understand your explanation as to why you were taken and you now just need to learn from the mistake and move forward

All of us have moments of weakness or lapses in judgement.

Even when I wasn't owned, I wasn't "vulnerable" because of my submissive nature. Just because someone is submissive doesn't mean they check their brain or back bone at the door. Nor would I ever submit to any random person simply because they slapped the label Dom or Master on a screen name. Submissive or not I am responsible for ME.

I'm with VaguelyCurious. you did this to yourself. I would actually feel for you if not for the whiny tone and "I don't deserve to be subjected to such treatment." If you said "I was dumb and got taken," I would actually let out a little "awww. sad."

submissivemale22 -> RE: Fake Domme & Tactics of a Con: A cautionary (7/13/2010 9:12:03 AM)

ive never understood the complete lack of sympathy on this board for people who post that they got scammed. it is absolutely baffling to me.

I was very, very stupid in retrospect. My mind screamed "no" but I was desperate and lonely that I choose to believe the lie... I'm sure I'm not alone and that others will fall victim to this elaborate ruse.

Sleeper233,

You should never write checks that your keyster can't cash. No one forced you to open your coffers and make a donation to her campaign. You chose to do so because you believed you were getting a return on your investment. We call that ROI in financial circles. What you neglected to do was qualify the buyer and recognize you didn't need to pay upfront. But unfortunately your fingers and the wrong head were doing the advising in that scenario. My suggestion is simple. Keep your wallet out of reach and don't entertain women that want payment for services rendered unless you make no bones about doing such. That's really simple. But as with most things good advice doesn't come cheap.

I think everyone is being very harsh to the OP and I feel sorry for him.

So I'm going to brighten his day up with the opportunity of a lifetime.

Sleeper, I am actually a representative of the Bank of Nigeria and I'm looking to transfer six million dollars into a foreign account.

thats funny [:D] but also an astute 'comment' - no one (i hope) falls for that nonsense so why would a grown man fall for this - i think maybe the answer is in newness to the whole thing and just a bit too much eagerness that these people know full well all about and prey on.  that makes them scumbags for sure and the OP a victim, which is all a bit sad really.
