ORIGINAL: Marini What a wonderfully written and well thought out post. I just don't see enough written about Spirituality, having Fatih in a Supreme Being, and being free to walk your own path, and find your own way. Thank you Zevar, for stating your points of views, so much more eloquently than I ever could have. Perhaps you have not looked into it deeply enough? I know spiritual Atheists, dogmatic and spiritually devoid "Christians", and I think your OP was kinda insulting to those with no belief.... I am cutting and pasting a wikipedia entry on "spirituality" to show you what a mixed bag it is, and it has very little to do with "belief". It also may show you how you are perhaps the one that is not being "open" in your definitions. I would also not judge people by what you find on internet forums, most people are not as zealous as what you will find contributing to a topic... people post on topics like this out of their convictions that they are correct... I can imagine it is hard for people who think they are "battling" because they feel like they are a minority. I know it has been hard for me to find a mate as an agnostic, because everyone has a path they want to "defend"... but hey, everyone is entitled to believe as they will... isn't the Constitution wonderful? It protects believers and nonbelievers alike. Spirituality can refer to an ultimate or immaterial reality;[1] an inner path enabling a person to discover the essence of their being; or the “deepest values and meanings by which people live.”[2] Spiritual practices, including meditation, prayer and contemplation, are intended to develop an individual's inner life; such practices often lead to an experience of connectedness with a larger reality, yielding a more comprehensive self; with other individuals or the human community; with nature or the cosmos; or with the divine realm.[3] Spirituality is often experienced as a source of inspiration or orientation in life.[4] It can encompass belief in immaterial realities or experiences of the immanent or transcendent nature of the world. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spirituality
