First off, these are Forums but aye there are chat rooms. Not sure what goes on there because I haven't visited them for a couple of years and I no longer do chat. In these forums however both slaves and submissives are encouraged to have their say and give good responses. Aye, I did say SALVES and SUBMISSIVE. If you indeed the experienced Master you claim in your profile, you will be well versed in both the terminology and the differences between slaves and submissives. However for your information, in some sub cultures under the general BDSM umbrella, Gorean slaves (kajiri) and in some other groups, generally slaves don't have the right to answer unless they are granted it. That is simply part of their lifestyle choice to be part of. Others here are either not collared or are submissives and as such have a greater freedom (generally) to reply as they believe to be right. As can be expected in any on line forum, there are some who are what may be refereed to as "part timers" and which you may refer to as "playing at being the lifestyle" and there are many others who live their lifestyle choice. Of course there are also folks new to this culture and there are some who are merely curious as well as one or three who lurk, read and enjoy the entertainment especially on a fiery thread. perhaps it may behove you to climb down off your highly critical high horse and just relaxt and enjoy the forums. If not I believe there are other sites which may suit your personality and needs.

Some people do come here just to socialize and their choosing to do so, while you may not personally approve nor understand, it still makes them no less "real" than you are.

People who call themselves slaves CHOOSE to be slaves, usually to one person. It isn't like plantation days when people were purchased and worked for a family. Even if it was, do you seriously feel that prior to purchase that those unowned slaves had to obey any passing jackass because he called himself master? I have been living in a high-protocol, authority-driven, hierarchical household for 15 years now. While our servants may not be allowed to refuse a command from our Keepers, it is completely unrealistic to expect that they would NEVER be allowed to say "no" to -anybody-.

Others here who are EVERY BIT as "real" as you purport to be have a completely -different- relationship with the individuals that are referred to in -their- relationships as "slaves" and those "slaves" are allowed completely different parameters of existence than what we have.

One thing that it is important to understand about a place like CM is that you're going to find a LOT of people with a LOT of different perspectives. There are many, many people here who actually LIVE in variants of BDSM and/or authority-driven relationships in the real world, and who come here to talk about everything from life-issues surrounding theirs or other peoples' situations to recreational topics.

In 15 years, I've never met ANYONE whose only conversation 24/7 was about one subject, and that's what you're seeing here -- a wide variety of people with one thing in common (we are either interested in or participating in some aspect of authority or kink-related behavior), and a LOT of diversity everywhere else. Not everyone is going to manage things the way that you do -- and that doesn't make them "fake" or "un-real"... it just shows the broad brush of variation in what is POSSIBLE in any style of existence.
