I am so so so so angry! The monster's Personal Assistant came by to return my house key since she will be out of a job now that we are moving. When she moved her hand I noticed a ring on her finger. I say that I have that exact same ring, and as I'm saying it she's pulling her hand down cause she's noticed it. She acts all surprised "oh oh oh yeah my mom just gave me that". She leaves and I go look in my jewelry box. Guess what????????????????? Yep, my ring is gone. I text her and tell her that I think it's funny how my ring is missing, and by the way it was my engagement ring from my last husband. She replies with "Hmm idk my mom gave me that ring ive had it forever". Really? Which is it? She just gave it to you or you've had it forever? OMG I'm so flippin' mad!

Oh my gosh Sophia, I am sooooooooooooo sorry to hear that (((((hugs))))). As others said, inform the cops and the agency. I worked as a PA in the past and it is awful when someone misuses such a position of trust. You don't know whomelse she might have stolen stuff from. Over a decade ago I worked as a secretary at the police in Germany and when such a situation was in the air they also searched through her own belongings and clarified items which might suspicious as potentially not belonging to her. The agency should get checked every client she worked with, as I doubt that you will be the only unlucky victim...

I am her employer, and I'd already terminated her. I had already given her a good recomendation to someone that's a dear friend of mine so I'm going to have to retract that. I didn't have to call the police. I didn't get the chance cause she wouldn't stop blowing up my phone. No sooner than I'd hit ignore so I could dial and she'd be dialing back. Miraculously, she went home and her ring was there and she must've grabbed mine by mistake so she brought mine back and put it in the mailbox. Uh, hello???????? I'm soooooooo gullible and dumb, I most certainly believe that! WTF??? [8\|] Then she sends me a series of texts about how she loves me and the monster and I was like her second mom and she didn't want me to think she'd steal from me. Ok, I don't -think- you'd steal from me, -know- you would! Because you DID and I caught you red(or uh diamond) handed! I haven't responded to the text messages. I am still seeing red! Oh, and Jeffffffffffff I don't need to call a friend to slap anyone around. My friends call me when they need someone's attitude adjusted [;)] Thanks for the support guys and gals. I guess I'm still seeing red because I fully trusted this girl...with my car, my home, and my "handicapped" child! And, now I'm more hurt than mad. How could she? She was very well paid. I would even take her out for breakfast/dinner with us. I would buy her things, like she was part of the family. [&:]

I still think you should call the police, even if the property is returned its still theft and I would show them every damn text she sent you regarding it.

Hell yes I do! It is still theft. Taking the ring was the least of of it lets be real. She violated your trust and this will probably make you hesitant on how you deal with other aids such herself in the future. If you do nothing you are saying it is acceptable behavior and its not.

She has probably stolen from other people and will steal again. This may teach her accountability... and get something on paper to help protect the next person.

If you got her from an agency, you need to call and tell them. She can't be trusted. And yes, I would file a complaint with the police. Not so much because they'll do anything but because there will be a public record available for anyone looking to hire her.
