Last week I kept going to the guy in my place and saying "Please turn on the AC.  It's burning up hot in here."  Turns out I had a fever of 101.  *oops.

ouch sun!  Hope you feel better.

But, there are more important things than us dying from heatstroke.  Lindsey Lohan is in tears and shock that the judge doesn't buy her lawyers line about her being a poor helpless child who is not wise in the ways of the world and the court system.

Last week Paris.  Now this.

I almost have tears.

I dont mind the heat, the humidity kills me. My daughter said our county had a heat advisory.

I"m fine now.  Went to the ER... got some fluids.... got some magic pills.... it's all good.  Amazingly, since the infection is gone, my place is cooler!  It's like flipping magic!

We are just special here in the south, so it works for us.  Louisiana has humidity of like 175% in the dog days of summer.

Or, I am lying-lol.  It is a heat that literally kinda envelops you and lays on ya.  I can take the heat , but this year the effin skeeters are brutal.

I never lose power here.

No more then a blink.

I do tho have air conditioning.  So- that is a plus.   I also am using it.   I did my errands early... and frankly it is too hot to even take care of business on the phone.

Be greatful you have an AC at all. We do not, and our  little abode gets so hot. There's no relief from it either. Fans don't help, being naked don't help, the bed is soaked in sweat, and then if you want to continue laying down, you have to lay in soggy wet sheets.

I am however sometime this month going and buying a window unit AC, or a portable AC.

The portable one would be nice, because you don't need a huge hole in the wall * which is where it'd go, not in the window* you just need a tiny ductwork hole, and it'd be able to be put right next to the bed.

Take away the hot spring stuff and I'm there. Add to this that my air conditioner is NOT keeping up with the heat and I may have to book a trip to the Arctic to cool off.

Which is the reason I live in Canada not death valley
im a snow or cold bunny, heat is NOT what I neeed, desire or crave
And yes the humdidity is the killer
*SCREECHING*   Im melting IM melting

At this rate I will be melting into a loon or some smaller canadian critter

Lucy I am not a heat person either, I am happy at a nice meduim. not to hot and not to cold.


And we've driven through Arizona dessert in the summer with no ac, and that was hot enough for me.

In Oklahoman, you get the joy of high heat AND humidity. it's just s o damned sticky and hot.
