ORIGINAL: Yourscum The word master is gender specific to men, as mistress is specific to women, so yeah, having a penis is a requirement of being a master. So in College Women Don't get Masters Degrees? Flat out, as a FACT, you are incorrect. QSM The word master applies to the degree, as in Masters degree, not the person holding said degree. The word master is gender specific to Men, just as the word mistress is gender specific to women. If that fact bothers some, than CM should created an ask a Dominant section, and avoid the gender based names. "Master Used as a title for any of various male officers having specified duties concerning the management of the British royal household.e. Master Used as a courtesy title before the given or full name of a boy not considered old enough to be addressed as Mister.f. Archaic Used as a form of address for a man; mister.15. Master A man who owns a pack of hounds or is the chief officer of a hunt." "Mistress: A WOMAN in a position of authority." The words are defined by gender, it's a simple fact. But hey, I'm sure you know better than dictionaries on what words mean, lol. Tell you what... I'm pretty sure we have few British Royal Household Managers here... if you got a set of Dogs help yourself to the title... Truth be told NONE of those are how the word is being used here.... and you can't be dumb enough to this it is. I am a Master Mason, as well as a Master Electrician. These are Titles that come with my ability in Stone and Electrical wiring and running... There are MANY female Master Electricians. Master as it is used here is NOT gender Specific. Master, meaning MALE. Does not exist in the definions you gave, the British Master of the house is not the etimology of the word it is just one of it's uses. The etimolgy of Master has it's roots in determined leader, and ultimate authority. It is not Gender specific. But if you wanna keep arguing it... you have fun with that. QSM
