We have Goreans here and people who maintain Victorian households.

There are many highly respected "Leather" members here.

You are trying to use a traditional definition to an alternative lifestyle. 

Since you are in CA, are you willing to walk into the next MAsT meeting closest to you to tell the Masters there that happen to be female that they are not Masters due to their gender?  Are you willing to do the same for those who identify as slaves that they can not use the term because slavery has been abolished?
