i feel like it's hard to separate the two and decide which is the bigger factor for me; you have to add them together to see what you really get.

The only person doing things to me would be my Master so i guess the answer would be both.

attitude i would say - if the attitude stinks then im not going to be coming out of it in good shape. if their attitude is a positive to me then im going to want to do my best for them and its going to go far better.

to be honest i couldnt submit to someone who's attitude stank anyway - i have done and it just built resentment and a feeling of being used but in a bad way.

Definitely the attitude of the person doing it. Some people can make "good morning" sound like a curse due to their attitude. Likewise, there's a huge difference between a loving swat on the butt and an angry one. There are men who are angry at their mothers out there. I really don't want to put myself in their hands and give them carte blanche to do whatever they with if they've just spoken to their mothers! If someone's attitude is sucky, then anything they do to me is going to feel sucky too.

Attitude by far. i see a professional dominant on a regular basis. HE seems to take our sessions very seriously. i never feel as if he is just going through the motions, but get the feeling HE is enjoying the session as much as i am and HE always treats me as a submissive but in a very natural and not affected way

I definitely say attitude. It was Master's assertive personality that drew me to Him...
