There is no such thing as a body imperfection.

There is, however, a problem with seeing things poorly.

As I've said my last picture was more conservative. Much more in fact. It didn't change anything.

i completely agree with the others, any imperfections are solely in the eye of the beholder, perhaps some are imperfect in demanding perfection. imho i have found that perfection when it is found is often vain.  a cold, shallow and empty reflection of reality ...best wishes

Why is there such criticizm of ppl's bodily imperfections at times?

***Dunno...never seen it on the boards here at all; in day to day life ..some folks are just unhappy and mean sprirted I guess***

How important is someone's body to you?

***To be honest the body is really important to me.... a certain build, a certain style are sexual triggers for me and not every man(or woman) is going to make me  lick my lips    thats doesnt make me a bad  person; after all  not everyone will find me sexy or desirable.....so what the big deal?***

How does everyone feel about body imperfections when you meet someone new?

***  Do you mean those things that stop us looking like every single other person on the planet (freckles, hair shades etc)or do you mean actual medical issues ?  or do you just mean stretch marks and being bigger than some bint on telly ?  As this is rather open question and "imperfertion" sounds a lot more hysterical than "preferance".... I prefer chest hair but I woundn't discard some sexy man who's genetics didnt include fur...

How does it reflect on whether or not you want to 'play' or develop a meaningful D/s or M/s relationship?

***Well I wouldnt play with some on who didnt turn me on  nor would I have a relationship with them.****

Health is important to me so someone who doesn't look after his health, eats badly, smokes is out. Also dominance is about discipline and control. I've not been out with a dominant man who doesn't try to look good, dress well, and take reasonable care not to put on weight. I'm certainly not perfect but someone who can make the same effort I do is a reasonable requirement. Apart from that you need some basic physical chemistry, don't want to be physically repelled by anyone. In general most people tend to go out with people about the same kind of level of attractiveness, I think studies have shown which is common sense really.

OnyxGoddess -> RE: Body Imperfections? (4/22/2006 5:16:12 PM)

I don't think it's because we are taught as children to judge people (my mom always used to say -that's not nice to talk about people.)  I think it's the media and our own idealisms on what is attractive.  That being said....we can find someone or something unattractive and be polite and leave it be.  I think some people are just so doggone nasty they show their true colors by picking on others they see as "less" than them.

I played soccer, swam and played softball.  I have two children, stretch marks and scars, and about 20lbs I need to get off my midsection and thighs.  Don't like it...hey someone else does-ME and that's all that counts.  To those that are being picked on ....delete those messages.  Those people are just insecure.
