DarkSteven -> Is this the best midterm election ever? (7/11/2010 5:39:28 PM)

Let's face it. After the election, about 50% of the electorate will be pissed that their candidate didn't win, and later on, the dissatisfaction will rise still more as party faithful get disenchanted. So the best time is prior to election. With that said, has there ever been a wackier midterm election? We have: 1. Sharron Angle being a complete wacko. She's claiming that Harry Reid's campaign stole her "intellectual property" by publicizing her old website. With that, she's managed to keep interest high, as well as make the GOP stance against frivolous lawsuits look ridiculous. Also it makes her look like a crybaby. 2. Fiorina's campaign featuring the infamous demon sheep video as well as her catty comment about Boxer's hair. 3. Alvin Greene, the man who won decisively in the primary nobody should want, getting to be cannon fodder against DeMint. Bizarrely, the Dems in that state are making a ruckus. If Vic Rawl had gotten 30% of the vote against DeMint, it would be viewed as decisive for DeMint. But if Greene manages the same thing, it will be viewed as a sign of DeMint's weakness that a nobody could score that much against him. Greene's idea for stimulating the economy? Action figures of him! And that's not mentioning Joe Barton's complaint that Obama is treating BP unfairly, which has suddenly defused the oil spill as a political issue for the GOP, and Steele's ongoing escapades. Is this the best midterm election ever, or what?
