OP, you might want to let your GF know that having sex for the first time does not necessarily hurt. I know it didn't for ME, anyway. That's a hell of a hurdle, and honestly, I would have your GF deal with that before messing with anything deep.

Being a Dominant is something you do or don't do. Look at your life. Do you take control of situations? Do people generally follow your lead? Do they seek out your counsel? If yes you may be Dom. Also being Dom is a big responsiblity. You will be responsible for her safety and well being. More so than a vanilla relationship.
