Investments in what?

the safest investment in the world, US Treasuries.

LMAO!

Ok- wanna buy a bridge?

Considering your investment policy is "buy high and pray" I wouldnt enter into an investment discussion with adults.

Just think.

I back up my opinion via every penny of my wealth tied up in silver/gold.   I might be too heavy into silver rather then gold- but that is fine.

A fat finger wont wipe out my stack.   I am simply not as smart as you city slickers.  I could never be the rich affluent investor class that you are.

So-  my aim is to be like king Tut- or king Midas.

Yup-  I just aint smart enough to navigate your black tie world.

That black tie world is an expensive one, pa. If i ever get "rich" i would retire to the NC mountains, buy a small cabin, a nice truck, and sit on my porch watching the sun set every night. Ah, the simple way of life.

Good.  Then we can also cut social security for anyone who's under 18.

I so want some acreage.  Unlikely I would leave PA tho.   I like PA.   Most of it.

Maybe in 10 years I will be able to have a place in the country.   :-)

The porch and sunset and truck sound good too!!!

'Cause the SS program was never supposed to last this long or be this much in debt.  Sorry old farts, but you were all supposed to DIE much sooner than you did.  O_o

Ok.. maybe im not seeing what you are talking about. Life expectancy is lengthening. And you want to stop SS benefits for those under 18? You are aware your benefits are based upon the top earning 35 years, yes? And that part of SS is the Disability part?

Of course Congress is going to raise the retirement age. That goes right in line with cutting benefits for those on Social Security, raising the taxpayers' contributions to Social Security, continuing the wild spending on new weapons systems, bailing out banks, giving themselves a raise, and squandering record amounts on pet projects. Expect more of the same.

--  the COLA formula.

I think they are incorrect.

Wage growth is not as high as cost of living expenses growth.

While they think that would save the system money- it would not.  Wages in real terms have falling since around 1980.

Do you sit up at night figuring out the next days silly posts....or do you just shoot from the hip.
Only those who have lost a parent(who paid into SS) or whose parent has become disabled(and who also paid into SS) receive SS payments when they are under the age of 18.

Except they know that the deficit they are so intent on building will result in runaway inflation in the not too distant future.
