Yes I missed you. :D Hot this is not. Come to florida and work outside for hours. Today I was a river of sweat and I was producing MUD with the dirt that stuck to my body. My clothing was WET. Not damp but WET with SWEAT. I was able to ring it out into a puddle. If you don't complain maybe the heat monster will go away. He likes sweaty vitriol.

Oh, sweetie, I promise I know the difference. Don't forget that I just moved from GA last summer. I will take this dry heat any day over the humidity. Anybody who can work in the yard in the South in the middle of the afternoon deserves kudos.

Air conditioned office. Air conditioned car. A high powered evaporative cooler on the house. A climate where, even on the hottest days, it cools down to a mighty pleasant evening. Would you prefer the weather from January?

Spent 90% of my life living in deserts in Texas and the Pacific NW. I love the weather in Florida, but I don't work in the yard in the afternoon in the summer!

I wanted to see what it was like, so I walked around. People were staring at me, horrified, not comprehending why someone would just stroll around when there were air conditioned places! I also walked into a down home restaurant and asked if I could have some real Southern vegetables. But I didn't want any that were deep fried (for health reasons) or had pork in them (for religious reasons). They're probably still talking about me there.

I was in the Central Valley last week, it was 104.. It was 90 in Long Beach today, everyone was complaining about the heat... it feels almost air conditioned to me....

It is only 103 here. Humidity is 61% But it is supposed to get down to 70 tonight while there is a thunderstorm! YAY! I will get to open all the windows and air out the house. Keeping the mop handy of course. [:)]
