Ahh, this brings back memories, been away for 13 years with no desire to return.

In Australia the say Haitch and in Newfoundland they do too (or St John's anyway where I had a highschool friend who had just moved from there to here)

That pic is quite mild you should see some of the trolls that turn up on the modeling sites i use .Badly bleached hair scraped into a pony on one side of there head lots of fake tan and make up draped over the bonnet of there boyfriends punto in a skimpy primark bikini wanting to know how they can get in nuts zoo or maxpower .Then try asking £100 per hour for shoots .Horrible skanks the lot of them .

One story I've heard about the etymology is that the term "chav" is derived from Chatham, a town in Essex with a lot of sink estates. There is a similar Romany term, though it's doubtful that this is likely to apply as chavs are some of the most racist buggers on earth.
Myself, I prefer the Scots equivalent "Ned", which is short for "no education"...
