Status: offline 		I was having a conversation with a dom friend of mine, who said something to me which left me pondering. We were talking about our mutual love/like of bdsm and the types of relationships we've had over time. He happened to mention he'd had a very long, loving yet vanilla relationship, that sexually it wasn't all that great he then said this and I quote "For me to orgasm through sex, I need to know I own you."

I don't quite know why suddenly I was alerted by this, and have since started pondering on it, it just seemed a very strong, possessive thing to say. So whilst one day I'd love to be owned, and understand some of its meaning. I was just wondering if any Dom men have/had a similar experience? Also if you could describe how owning someone feels? How the mere fact you own someone can/has/does increase the intensity in such a sexual way?

The mental aspect can play a part in a heightened sexual arousal.

I "get off" when a tit or a nip is being pulled on or subsusie is gagging on the ol' Domidong or the gal is in some form of duress. It just makes things all the more romantic....lol.

I think most guys can still bang one out through good ol' 'nilla fornication if things are hot enough.

It sounds cool and uber Domly to say that we need ownership to bust a nut but that is probably not based upon reality.

This. Your friend is just being dramatic. Of course when involved in an intense relationship, everything is heightened, but please, I don't believe what he said.

Unless he is just saying that to get out of having sex with someone and trying to let them down easily.

Why were you surprised? People have mental associations regarding sex and fetishes. That's why some things are acceptable and others are out of the question. I won't debate whether he's telling the truth or not, but will admit my orgasms are selfish. Which means I get off because I want to do so with that person. If that's absent in spite of other things it isn't happening. And that doesn't mean I won't be aroused but it just never builds beyond that point.

Owned has different manifestations for me. It could mean a violent head banging session that leaves me content and well bruised. Or it might be much softer with lighter elements applied. It can be fast paced and edge clinging or slow and methodically applied. One thing that's always there is intensity and passion because that's how I relate in bed.

I'm completely uninhibited because he owns me. I have no provocation to hold back or adhere to notions regarding respectability or how a woman should behave. I'm whatever he wants me to be at a given moment and I delight in being his receptacle because it's liberating and something I revel in exhibiting. My ex was very much like that: he had some experiences with subs who were owned by other people and he told me a lot about how it was just so vividly different when it was his sub. I think that definitely has to do with being close to someone, but I also think there's an aspect of power that really does enhance someone's ability to let go, which can make orgasms feel a lot better.
