Could you be a bit more specific?  I've been following this notestream and have seen only one negative comment and a lot of support.   I guess I missed something that triggered this tirade.  Would you mind pointing me to the specific group of posts to which you are referring?

Sure. Within half an hour of the OP......

Sounds like you need to join up one of those sick patriarchal religious cults.

I second the poster that said it sounds like a religious cult might be more up your alley.

I think you are as there are all sorts here.  You seem to know what you want and as said before it sounds like D/s to me which doesn't have to incorporate any pain.

As for if she doesn't stay obedient..... there are ways besides using pain of training/punishing someone.

Good luck in your search.

I realize that one bad apple can spoil the basket... but um we are not apples and no need to make blanket generalizations of total double standard, hypocrisy and sexism because of one person's post that at present has only posted 3 times.... Seems your response is alittle over dramatic... and judging by the responses ahead of me... my thoughts are somewhat shared.

I've just quoted 3 seperate posts from 3 seperate people. (See above)

you are taking the last two out of context and intent of their post.

Hey, a serious question here:

I'm interested in the lifestyle of BDSM, yet not into whips, chains, inflicting pain, dungeons, goth, or any of that. My interests lie more in an intensified 1950s style..... me, taking care of a sub/slave woman, allowing her the resources so that she may obey and please me, but loving and taking care of her as one would a pet...

Total obedience on her part, but more about cooking/cleaning, dressing up, etc -- without the other stuff.

My question is: Am I in the right place?

You might try those "Christian" Ds groups -- even if you aren't Christian yourself you might find folks who follow that model.

You might also, frankly, be just looking for a more patriarchically traditional marriage. That would make your search easy because lots of folks still chose that or feel it is the only/best way to live. Just start looking in some more conservative venues -- churches, charities, things like that.

Maybe even more mainstream vanilla online dating services that ask you questions when you join. Answer the questions to reflect what you truly feel (a lot of the questions are about gender roles and authority in relationships) and that might help you find potential matches.

Good luck.

KarbonCopy -> RE: No Whips, No Chains, No Pain... (4/17/2006 7:58:26 AM)

I'd say you're in the right place, since you've gotten here, all you've done is ask ladies about they're stockings and claimed how much you love them.

You're right up there with the rest of the users looking for fap material.

As for your idealisms for your relationship, you can find it anywhere, its all with who you talk to.
The forum might not be as fruitful if thats what your looking for, but personals are a cray stupid place, and I'm sure that with the amount of people in this world, you can find at least one other person wanting the exact same thing as you,

And I'd think about that cult thing, they're quite common, and usually are designed around enslaving women for they're own personal uses.

CrappyDom -> RE: No Whips, No Chains, No Pain... (4/17/2006 8:09:07 AM)

Acceptance is perhaps my least favorite BDSM word a few rungs down from "true".

We are not accepting and should not be, we should be welcoming and open minded but not simply write a blank check saying anything and everything is okay.

Having said that, welcome!

Lashra -> RE: No Whips, No Chains, No Pain... (4/17/2006 8:16:16 AM)

Ah you hate female supremacy, I hate male supremacy so we have something in common. [:D]  Sounds like what you are looking for is a service oriented kinda of gal or a Gorean slave who isn't into the whippings and yes you will find those here. Being a public message board they tend to draw all kinds so good luck in your search for that

KarbonCopy -> RE: No Whips, No Chains, No Pain... (4/17/2006 8:21:24 AM)

Female/Male supremacy is a fucking joke.

NeedToUseYou -> RE: No Whips, No Chains, No Pain... (4/17/2006 8:22:00 AM)

hmmm, I'm looking for almost the same thing, only I want the lighter BDSM activities, nothing like branding, and such. hmmmm, not religious either, so a cult won't work. I thought BDSM was cultish anyway.  Guess I'm in the wrong place to. LOL. oh well, if I'm in the wrong place most likely there are others in the wrong place to, so that would make it the right place. LMAO.

PlayfulOne -> RE: No Whips, No Chains, No Pain... (4/17/2006 8:28:02 AM)

So you take exception to the joking manner some people suggested the religious avenue.  If he is of a religious nature then some of those venues would be right up his alley.

try and relax or your going to be dating that toaster forever

See thats the problem. People think that BDSM is like its own form of religion.

There is nothing concrete about BDSM, or any of it. There is no organization that has written rules about it, and if they have its a bunch of crap.

this isnt a religion, nor a club, nothing like that.
People seemed obsessed with making it all seem so much bigger and more important than it really is.

Karbon,

don't be jealous because you haven't gotten your secret decoder ring yet, :)

I definitely think you are, don't confuse TPE with the kink and the trappings---the life is after all what you define it, and I am sure you will find someone who wants to fill that role for You.

I was being tongue in cheek a bit with the cult thing, as I hope the people that suggested the OP go to a religious cult were being. BDSM isn't anything in my opinion except a general idea, there are no rules that you have to be into any particular thing. I think it would be sad, and short sighted to say you have to want pain or to inflict pain to be into BDSM. There are plenty of ways to express dominance and submission, without using a whip.

Well they said that its in the mail but I dont believe them.

I dont follow the croud that asks all dommes how often they use a strap-on on their subs.

Cause there is some kind of curriculum that all dommes have to follow to participate in this lifestyle.

It's sick.

crouchingtigress -> RE: No Whips, No Chains, No Pain... (4/17/2006 9:42:44 AM)

You say that as if you think that religious cults are a bad thing....

Sure some cultist go on Hollywood murder sprees but then there are the BDSM guys that keep women under their bed for 18 years, and others that put them in breeder boxes, there are are bad apples everywhere.

Most cults are simply religious deviants, deviants as in deviating from the common and accepted main religions and finding their own thing that works better for them, They also typically have a charismatic leader, use techniques of ritual, worship, repition, accountability and attonment to keep the world that they wish to exist in in order, not unlike a master slave relationship.

Most cultists are pretty happy, they have jobs, they love their kids, they love their version of god, they get really high on their style of worship, and they like privacy because the rest of the world judges them and does not understand, again I see stark similarities to us folks.

You sound angry, no reason to be, I honestly think that BDSM with out the fun stuff like Bondage, Sadism and Massochism...is like having to eat liver,(the Discipline part)  and not getting dessert...I doubt he'll find what he is looking for here because every person that I have ever met, has come in the door based on a deviant sexual need, not a service need. (not that they dont exist but just I have never met any one who said they got in to a leather lifestyle cause they like to clean houses.

I took two of those as attempts at humor.  I guess when religion rears its head, humor survives at its own risk.

i'm in agreement with Proprietrix.  Someone comes to the board, asking a question with sincerity, hoping for a serious reply (as stated in his question).  He comes to the board seeking knowledge, answers and guidance, and in return he gets "join a church or a cult, ha ha ha."

Maybe having only posted 3 times, he does not warrant acceptance enough to be taken seriously.
