Michigan Says Enough To Fed: Takes Matters Into Own Hands As It Starts Using Own Currency…And GoldEither in anticipation of QE2 which will cut the value of the dollar by another 50% once another $2 trillion in toxic crap becomes the “assets” backing the viability of the dollar, or just because they are sick of Fed policies, mid-Michigan has taken monetary matters into their own hands, and in one simple act, completely bypassed the destabilizing influence of the domestic currency printers.

You know PaHunk I'm sensing a "disconnect" between "The People" in this country and, ..."the government."
Hillary Clinton is going all around the world chastising Russia for conditions in Georgia and talking about "sanctions" against N. Korea and The People could care less what she says!
It reminds me of that movie with Morgan Freeman, "Driving Miss Daisey."
"Barak, I want to go to N. Korea!"
"Yes'm Miss Daisey!"
"Barak, we need to give third world countries more money!"
"Yes'm Miss Daisey!"
It's like they're running their own private little show and the American People be damned!
I don't suppose it will ever occur to them to consult with or even *ask* The People what we want, do you?

Funny the original story shows up on a satire page, here in 2007, and nothing in the mainstream media.

Another one of Pahunk's bs threads with no solid news source.

One day he will learn that most of his stories are bs.

Hmm, I live in Michigan. I wonder if it is too soon to lobby to have MY picture on the new Michigan currency.

I already have a great pic in mind for the tails portion...

I live in Michigan too and I'm gonna head over to the local gas station and see if they will let me trade a ham sandwich for some unleaded. Kinda doubt it....

pahunkboy -> RE: Michigan Says Enough To Fed: Takes Matters Into Own Hands As It Starts Using Own Currency…And Gold E (7/21/2010 8:16:42 AM)

I think choice is great.   People will vote with their feet.

For Fucks sake.   Barter has and will continue to be a rather large underground economy, hey; they even do it in good times.

The article is pure falsehood, the lead-in pure asswipe.  Michigans government is not sanctioning this nor printing up money.  (Nor is any other state government).

Maybe you should try bartering a roast beef on rye instead. Fair exchange and all.

I live here too, and I think it would be awesome if they put your pic on our money. Where do I vote for that?

mnottertail -> RE: Michigan Says Enough To Fed: Takes Matters Into Own Hands As It Starts Using Own Currency…And Gold E (7/21/2010 8:55:41 AM)

Yeah, looks like the back of the bill is handled. lets peruse the tit picks thread for the front.

Your hot ass on the currency would ensure that it was continually handled.

More bang for your buck.

I consider my wealth to be important.

When I was a kid- the money was real.     Now it isnt.

Yay for Michigan.   You really ought to consider how much power the federal reserve has over you.

I am happy some are waking up!   This is great!!!

Depending on the clerk,  you might have some other assets for barter.  [:)]

Funny, you would think if this was actually the truth, the main stream news would have picked up on it.

Not a word of this anywhere but on a site that admits to being a satirical website dealing with Michigan and its taxes and budget.

Once more we have proof that pahunk does not research anything, find verifiable and credible links to back up his statements.

Pahunk is an idiot.

ThatDamnedPanda -> RE: Michigan Says Enough To Fed: Takes Matters Into Own Hands As It Starts Using Own Currency…And Gold E (7/21/2010 9:29:43 PM)

He's not an idiot. I really think he's one of the most intelligent posters on the board. He doesn't post stupid shit because he's stupid; he posts stupid shit because he's got mental health issues and lacks the ability to distinguish between stuff that makes sense and stuff that's just plain nuts. It's easy for most of us, but for him it's all a great big mystery.

Don't get me wrong; I get as exasperated by it as everyone else, and I'm on record as saying that I think it's a big part of the reason it's difficult to have a serious discussion here. But it doesn't do any good to insult the guy. It is what it is. He's a very nice, kindhearted, caring man, with a good sense of humor, who always sees the best in everyone and never has a bad word to say about anybody, even the people who are constantly insulting him. And I can count on one hand the number of people here I can say that about. You have to take the good with the bad.

He claims to have a college degree, among other things. I have many friends from my college days that have mental issues, and even one that is schizophrenic, and he doesnt come off HALF as crazy and delusional as pahunk.
