I am quite fond of this one due to the...happy upbeat sound of the song. (Couldnt find a good quality version, sorry!)

Louis XIV "A Letter To Dominique"

Well there’s a house on the block that’s empty now that Dominique’s gone
Well there’s a house on the block that’s empty now that Dominique’s gone
Now her dogs are alone and there’s no one to watch her TV

Dear Dominique I wrote to tell you you’re delightful
Still I know want a strangle or a mouth full
Of gasoline or to be tied up and stoned
I wrote to tell you that I hope you’re feeling better
Self addressed stamped envelope stuffed with your own death letter
Written in blood and in your own handwriting
There’s a house on the block that’s empty now that Dominique’s gone

Well there’s a house on the block that’s empty now that Dominique’s gone
Well there’s a house on the block that’s empty now that Dominique’s gone
Now her dogs are alone and there’s no one to watch her TV

Well 13524 Park and East Boulevard
Your last stroll down the block was in the trunk of a car
I must admit that we never thought you’d go this far
Dear Dominique well I hope you’re feeling better
You look so cute writing out your own death letter
Well now there’s no one to watch your TV

Well there’s a house on the block that’s empty now that Dominique’s gone

Dear Dominique you have a bold imagination
The countless ways you thought to die no hesitation
Fantasize long enough, you know it just might come true

Well there’s a house on the block that’s empty now that Dominique’s gone

Well there’s a house on the block that’s empty now that Dominique’s gone

One Last Breath by Creed

Please come now I think I'm falling
I'm holding to all I think is safe
It seems I found the road to nowhere
And I'm trying to escape
I yelled back when I heard thunder
But I'm down to one last breath
And with it let me say
Let me say

Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking
That maybe six feet
Ain't so far down

I'm looking down now that it's over
Reflecting on all of my mistakes
I thought I found the road to somewhere
Somewhere in His grace
I cried out heaven save me
But I'm down to one last breath
And with it let me say
Let me say

Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking
That maybe six feet
Ain't so far down

Sad eyes follow me
But I still believe there's something left for me
So please come stay with me
'Cause I still believe there's something left for you and me
For you and me
For you and me

Hold me now
I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking

Vic Chesnutt - Flirted With You All My Life

I am a man
I am self-aware
And everywhere I go
You're always right there with me
I flirted with you all my life
Even kissed you once or twice
And to this day I swear it was nice but
Clearly, I was not ready

When you touched a friend of mine
I thought I would lose my mind
But I found out with time that
Really, I was not ready.

Oh death
Oh death
Oh death
Really, I'm not ready

Oh death you enter me
Death's unmade those dear to me
And tease me with your sweet relief
You're cruel and you are constant

When my mom was cancer sick
She fought, but then succumbed to it
But you made her beg for it
Lord Jesus, please I'm ready

Oh death
Oh death
Oh death
Really, I'm not ready

Oh death
Oh death
Oh death
Clearly, I'm not ready

"To Where You Are"

Who can say for certain
Maybe you're still here
I feel you all around me
Your memory, so clear

Deep in the stillness
I can hear you speak
You're still an inspiration
Can it be (?)
That you are mine
Forever love
And you are watching over me from up above

Fly me up to where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile to know you're there
A breath away not far
To where you are

Are you gently sleeping
Here inside my dream
And isn't faith believing
All power can't be seen

As my heart holds you
Just one beat away
I cherish all you gave me everyday
'Cause you are my
Forever love
Watching me from up above

And I believe
That angels breathe
And that love will live on and never leave

Fly me up
To where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile
To know you're there
A breath away not far
To where you are

I know you're there
A breath away not far
To where you are

I don't know if this is a suicide song but "a breath away's not far to where you are".

Has anybody here attempted suicide? I wrote a song about my own personal adventure towards that method of thinking, it's in my poetry archives somewhere., using the concept that after the attempt was made and seemingly failed. Am I actually alive or is this a figment of my imagination, is this hell?

Never attempted it, but a few years ago when we went homeless for about 8 months I contemplated it every damned day.  It was a very trying time, and the only way I kept moving every day was by keeping the zen thought "It could be worse" running through my head.  Yes it could have been worse I was homeless not jobless, nor uninsured.  So I had those two things in my favor, still I would not wish it on anyone.

Contemplatively,
