Has anyone used hypnosis in teaching/training?  Maybe just to help your sub/slave control her emotions?  I realize it isn't like we see on tv.  I am just interested if anyone has used it and in what type of situation.  How did it work out?  Thanks,  Chris

It doesn't work. Give it up now.

Seriously though, the only people this will work on either already *want* to give in to whatever changes you're going to make, or are just weak-minded morons lacking in even half a brain.

Her emotions are out of control? Or do you just not want to deal with her natural responses to your wrong decisions?

If she has life problems from emotions, then first there needs to be a thorough physical to rule out such problems as thyroid, ADHD, generalized anxiety disorder etc. Depending on what is diagnosed, the appropriate treatment plans will be laid out by her doctor.

If the problems arise from past experiences, then they are best dealt with in a therapeutic setting.

Hypnosis is best for short term problems like fear of flying.

hypnosis can't do jack for emotions, out of control or not, it deals with the subconscious mind. If someone's off their head already it's way too late.

Actually old chap, you are half right. There is a time and place for all differing therapies. At times hypnosis assists in breaking down subconscious barriers to allow other forms of therapies work and allow a patient to self heal. In the past I have successfully used hypnosis to aid a suitable patient deal with his or her addiction. However to be fair it is a small percentage where this would work. For training and similar areas, I advocate Zen based meditation and positivity building exercises.

To the OP, irrespective what those who would decry Hypnosis and especially those with mouths like weed-wackers and a self righteous attitude will also deride those who have an interest in it, Hypnotism is a legitimate tool and not a toy or a placebo for all ills and short comings.

It can't cure rage caused by an overactive thyroid. It can't cure anxiety. It can't cure PTSD. It can't cure an incest survivor from long term trust problems.

Some guy looking for a short and dirty way to avoid sitting down and communicating with his partner is looking to seize on this.
It's perfectly plausible that there's nothing wrong with her being pissed at him when he comes home drunk nightly having spent the paycheck on booze and not buying diapers or paying the rent.

Actually Hypnosis works far better the more intelligent a person is and has shown many benefits over the years from being used by dentists for Children instead of heavy or dangerous pain meds to many other things or course it has to be something someone wants to do and since your mind isnt open to growth or alternative practices then probably will never work on you, but if it doesnt work, then explain away how stage hypnotists can freeze bodies solid as rocks and balance them in between chairs, . Also it takes great Focus and ability to be tranced and you should not be jealous you lack such skills and might be mentally below par and unable to achieve great things Hypnosis might have provided good luck

Thanks for your input everyone.  Just was wondering if it could be used as an aid/tool and not a cure.

Yes, I've used hypnosis to help in training a slave. It helped her to overcome her inhibitions (I was her first Dom). It also helped her to enjoy her slavery more, be more sensitive and receptive, and to help her remember to hold her breath when sucking me.

It was great and resulted in a superior slave.

It looks like the consensus so far is yes, if the person needing this desires the change and can be hypnotized.

Not everybody can be, it's true, not only do you have to be agreeable to it but as someone said above me, it takes significant concentration and focus, abilities that are fast becoming dionsaurs in this time of constant distractions and 3-minute attention spans. But if you enjoy delving deep into a subject, say reading hundreds of books on a single fascinating subject, or find parsing 200-300 word sentences in a bad translation of German philosophy with no helpful analysis (dialectic or otherwise) to aid you "fun," you're probably a great hypnosis candidate. ;)

The more intelligent and imaginative the person, the easier the hypnosis. However, 20% will be hard to hypnotize, 20% will be very easy, and most will be in the middle - neither very hard nor very easy to hypnotize.

Hypnotizing is easier with those agree with your goals. Feedback is absolutely required, as is agreement on goals.

--FR--

I just finished five months, twice a week, of hypnosis therapy. Part of the therapy was in hypnosis, and part of it was having discussions and classes with the hypnotists and councilors (there were 5 hypnotists and 3 councilors at the place). I'm not sure where some of the various responders in this thread got their information, but a large part of it is 180 degrees contrary to what I learned in the last 5 months. I won't get into a long drawn-out discussion about the differences ( I just don't have the time to spend here at the computer ) but I would like to suggest to the OP that if you are serious about having hypnosis done that you go to an actual hypnotheripist, NOT a stage hypnotist (!) and get things done right. Also, they will be able to tell you if what you hope for is actually something that can be accomplished.

Real hypnosis in BDSM does occur and is worth learning if you have interest in mental D/s. I would strongly suggest it not be used in a negative fashion but to deepen submission and Dominance.

I typically use it to increase / change physical and emotional experience more than anything. Adding elements of psychological paralysis to mental bondage or mental control to change duration, frequency or intensity of orgasm.  Care should be taken (as it should be in many areas of BDSM) as abreaction can occur in rare situations.

If you have genuine interest learn about it in relation to non-BDSM activities then adapt those to the lifestyle.

Hypnosis can increase responsiveness and sensitivity, deepen submission, improve some skills, and do a lot to release inhibitions. All neat stuff.

I would do some research, you clearly don't have the foggiest idea of what hypnosis is, or does. Learn, and ditch the wishful thinking.
