Sanity -> RE: Clean-Up Crews Can't Find Crude in the Gulf (7/28/2010 8:28:19 AM)

Because of the TOS rules and copyright laws I can only post so much of any given article, and so of course my priority is the parts that are relevent to my point. I linked  to it, and if theres such a glaring omission as you claim then try posting the portion that backs up your point.

Didn't your mama ever teach you nothing?

What you did is what you always do, post an article and cherry-pick what supports your point.

The balance of the article was nowhere near as optimistic as the few sentences you pulled out.

So what you are saying is Obama made the whole thing up so he could look good handling a crisis?

He created this whole charade and then fucked it up?

Seems very reasonable.

Very independent thinking!

AH, you have used that one before, to cover your lying ass.......lets go to ringside and see what a moderator said about that..........

please note post 56 and his absolute effrontery as he lies thru his teeth in response, he is incorrigibly impudent.

Thank God Obama never capped the well. He knew all along that "mother nature" would be his sub and do all the work necessary.

Thank God for subs and to the well never being capped.

The other thing is if you pay attention to the news report, they're talking ONLY about surface oil. Residents and scientists believe that a great deal of the heavier oil and oil bonded with the toxic dispersant, is still in the water, under the surface.

They must be in the wrong Gulf.

The topic is the gulf oils spill... I'm not climbing down into your pigsty this time mnot, you'll have to enjoy rolling around in it all by yourself today.

You don't want to believe it?

It seems like the left needs this spill more than this spill needs the left.

Maybe they should look somewhere near here: http://news.yahoo.com/nphotos/Gulf-Coast-Oil-Spill/ss/events/us/042110oilrigexplode;_ylt=AuG0LEUL3w1Lh1h4pWCMeMip_aF4;_ylu=X3oDMTEwaXZ2amJuBHBvcwMxNARzZWMDeW5fZmVhdHVyZWQEc2xrA2ltYWdl

Some more news on the spill: Is the U.S. Coast Guard partially to blame?

Coast Guard's failure to follow its firefighting policy may have contributed to sinking of oil rig

Slavehandsome -> RE: Clean-Up Crews Can't Find Crude in the Gulf (7/28/2010 11:20:43 AM)

Clearly, this is not a Republican or Democrat issue. This affects people, wildlife, the ocean and all its lifeforms.

Sanity -> RE: Clean-Up Crews Can't Find Crude in the Gulf (7/28/2010 11:22:28 AM)

Theres some oil in the picture but the thing is, a few weeks ago domken posted a photo that supposedly showed that the oil in the Gulf was so abundant that you could hardly see the water in the gulf from space.

And a lot of gullible people were buying into it.

Tom, I expect everybody made alot of mistakes in hindsight. Don't run into these sort of disasters every day, there is no real expertise out there.

Uhmmm, post 56 is from DG calling sanity a pud and enquiring about his friends. Is that the one we were supposed to be looking at?

Yea, I am having a real hard time believing it just mysteriously disappeared.

I'm thinking the heavier stuff settled. In previous reports, scientists stated that the dispersant bonded to the oil and made it heavier.... It's kinda like sweeping heaps of dirt under the rug...we all know it's there, we just can't see it.

The thing about potentially settled oil is that there is precious balance at the bottom of the ocean. Algae and bacteria and sometimes animals have to live that deep because they need less oxygen. The idea that these toxins could very well be settling in areas we can't see is incredibly disturbing.

That could be. I have a feeling this is going to fuck things up for a long time.

They say Prince William Sound is still recovering from the Exxon Valdez...I don't see why this spill wouldn't have long term impact as well.
