It must be a slow News day over in Europe. Joether, it's a moot point now. You might refer to the dept of revenue for the commonwealth of massachusetts and I'm sure they or their site can answer all your questions without even insulting you!

It doesn't matter how many homes he has or where they are located. His main residence is in MA. That is where he docked the boat and that is the state he owes taxes to.

Not really. As long as he didn't use it in MA they weren't interested in the taxes. When he docked it in MA was when they started looking into it. The tax office said after 6 months they might not have even looked into it.

I firmly believe that everyone commenting on this thread has never fudged the charitable deductions on their own tax returns.
