joether -> Parts of AZ law are nullied...for now. (7/28/2010 1:19:59 PM)

It seems the judge has ruled on the Arizona Law, schedule to take effect in a few hours. Many of the provisions will not be enforced.

Source

I guess conservatives in America will have to wait alittle longer to behave as nazis. Which is kinda of funny, in that 1/2 the letters in 'Nazi', are 'AZ'...coinidence?

Still, I'm sure all the conservatives will blast, that this was done, by 'an activist, liberal judge', whom many just days earlier, praised for upholding the bill, and striking at federal attorneys regarding the language and mechanics.

I agree with wilburs post on another thread, this will be finally adjudicated at the US Supreme Court, it is not over.

Joether, it's not just "conservatives" who are in favor of this law, most Americans are in favor of it as well no matter their political philosophy.
What differance would someone's politics make in this issue anyway?
And if you read that judges "opinion" it will surely be overturned but not in the ninth circuit of course!
She mentioned "pre-emption" but nowhere in that law does it "pre-empt" the federal govt's responsability to enforce the law.
Also she mentioned "the public interest" but, that's an area for legislators to be dealing in not judges. She stepped on her own foot there.
And nowhere did she chide the federal govt. for not doing the job we are paying them to do!
I guess we can now expect "The Feds" to start going after all those cities that have declared themselves "Sanctuary Cities" for "pre-empting federal law eh?
Everyday we are subjected to more stories in the Press of how our *federal govt.* simply ignores the will of The People!
In a way this is a "good" thing because anyone who was sitting on the fence about throwing out all incumbants in November just got a "push!"

Wow.  That is not very kind to the countries these illegal aliens come from.  To compare sending them back to their country of legal residence as the same as being sent to a gas chamber.

I also invoke Godwin's Law.

Joether, are you from the U.S.?
You're sentance structure doesn't sound like it. Do you have a dog in this fight?
And half the letters in "Nazi" being "Az" wasn't a "coincidence, they did it on purpose! It's a *conspiracy* but don't tell anyone! ("SHHHH!")

That's because he has a sentance (sic) structure.

Do you have some validation for your assertion that most americans (as in more than half) are in favor of this law?

Why does arizona not enforce the federal law? It is their responsibility just as it is thier responsibility to enforce the federal law against sticking up banks. Why???because it is happening within their jurisdiction.
Hmmmm let me guess....oh yes the penalities for hiring those who cross the border illegally is something like $250,000 and/or five years in the federal can for each illegal hired. The az law lessens these penalities to nothing more than a slap on the wrist while allowing the cops to fuck with all brown people. This has been pointed out to you on numerous occasions but your continued infatuation with fucking with mexicans betrays your bigoted agenda.

Also she mentioned "the public interest" but, that's an area for legislators to be dealing in not judges. She stepped on her own foot there.

Nor did she chide the az cops for not doing what they are paid to do

Why is it that some people are so gullible?

The CNN/Opinion Research poll was conducted July 16-21, with 1,018 adult Americans questioned by telephone, including a special sample of 308 black and 303 Hispanic respondents. The survey's overall sampling error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.

Do you really believe that 1,018 people out of 300,000,000 + people is actually representative?

Obamas probably doing more for those of us who are on the side of enforcing the borders by sending his lackey Justice Department lawyers and his leftist federal judge up against the people of Arizona than if he had just let this law quietly take effect. As an issue, wide open borders are very unpopular, Obamas already unpopular, and his poll numbers are trending down. Obamas congress is also wildly unpopular, and now this immigration fiasco is coming to a head just as we're coming into the election season. Its as if the Republicans are foreign monarchs and Obamas bending over for them one last time.

The icing on the cake is that the injunction probably won't stand up anyway.

I wouldn't want to be a republican and certainly not a fiscal conservative whos ever said anything, because that ad will go something like 'Republicans are ignoring the constitution, in Arizona they want to secede from the  union', and then after they frivolously waste taxpayer money writing unconstitutional law, they throw good taxpayer money after bad sueing the united states on your dime.

Fiscally responsible, I don't think so.
