Risks of cervical penetration in roughly descending order: Instant death from perforation of the uterus. Slow painful death from infection from the 'instruments' or your partner. Passing out from the pain, then perforating the uterus and haemorrhaging. Infection without death. Sterility. Loss of future pregnancies. But hey, if someone has done this for kicks and not only survived but enjoyed it, I've never heard about it. It reminds me of the guy who split his own penis so he could look like a kangaroo because no one would do it for him, and yes, he did have 'some regrets' afterwards. And remember, "research" means reliable scientific opinion, not shopping around until you get someone to agree with you.
